tebjr
Is the pic big enough?
Homer
it's not the best size wise, but i can do it with something that size. anything smaller than that and we're stretching it. the bigger the better, but it'll have to do. honestly, the biggest issue with that pic is just the quality. there isn't a whole lot of detail in it. but it's better than nothing. Homer
thanks for the pics guys. wow, the more and more i look at him, the more i think how he might actually be kinda hard to do cuz his face just screams out generic to me.
kgbaseball
He has 901 written all over him. Now, if only assigning a player "Long Hair" or "Mullet" in MVPEdit and the game would actually give a player long hair...
Homer
i know. exactly what i wish it would do too. but oh well, if this was supposed to be easy, it'd already be done.

Homer
wow, is that pic stretched? either that or he was fatter than i remembered him being :)
tebjr
No, I just scanned it off of the card. I've set may scanner to scan at a biggersize than what I had it.
Homer
don't know if i mentioned it before, but have you tried playing around with the settings on the scan? for instance are you using the color photo option?
tebjr
I don't see that option, Homer. My scanner really doesn't have that many options as far as scanning goes. Or I'm just missing them.
Homer
i don't know, where are you looking? is this on the physical scanner or in the software?
Homer
well, played around with jose a little more. it just seems my oediting skills need work. i just can't seem to get what i want out of it without messing up the texture. so here's what i got:

tebjr
I was able to adjust the resolution. It helps when you figure out what your doing. I set it to 600ppi Here's Lee Smith

tebjr
Is that resoultion any better, Homer?
Homer
yep, definitely an improvement. so did you figure it out then? i usually use photoshop to scan my images, and when you do that, if you look under the settings or properties options, there's a slew of scanning options to play with. i find with mine, that using the color photo option works best. kgbaseball
Also, didn't he help coach South Africa in the WBC? Maybe there's a site around that has his headshot for the WBC. I couldn't find anything, but maybe there is.
tebjr
I found the scanner settings in the software. I can scan them from 75 ppi up to 19200. 600 is the one I found that works the best and not take forever to copy it.
Homer
i had no idea he was involved with the WBC. well, now with all these pics of him, i have no choice but to make him a face. hopefully this will help him into the hof.
