thewatchmaker
Has anyone made faces that can be used in create-a-player mode so that you can actually make female players? Even just generic faces that are obviously not those of men?

Yankee4Life
That's a legitimate question. Why in the world do you want female cyberfaces?
thewatchmaker
That's a legitimate question. Why in the world do you want female cyberfaces? 'Legitimate' how, exactly? Because no girls play baseball? It's not like they had their own professional league before, huh? Riiiight. And maybe - just maybe - 1 or 2 girls bought MVP 05 and wanted to include themselves? Or a guy wanted to create his friends? Sheesh.
Edam
I once asked over at Total Classics if a mod for the AAGPBL would ever be made, but I don't think that it will. It would be a major undertaking.
63impala
relax there big fella! You have made three posts total and you blast with both barrels. Now thats a way to get help around here. And yes it was a legitimate question!

Now thats a way to get help around here. And yes it was a legitimate question! I still don't really get why it's a 'legitimate' question and you haven't tried to explain. I can only guess that it's 'legitimate' because girls don't play baseball so no one would ever dream of including them...? (and dude? you thought that was two barrels? and here i thought i was being kind by not immediately pointing out that only a chauvanist would think it's 'legitimate'... huh.) thewatchmaker
Idiotic poster of the day goes to thewatchmaker. Go back to lurking man because you don't know how to deal with people. The problem isn't that i don't know how to deal with people - the problem is that there are people who don't like having their assumptions about sex challenged. If the bringing girls into your video game is truly that confusing, there's not much more to say. Sorry I interrupted your sausage celebration, but seriously... (I also liked that you couldn't bring yourself to explain how it was a 'legitimate' question. My guess is that you can't, right?)
AstroEric
Is "Why do you want this?" really a legitimate question, though? It seems to me that the legitimate answer would be, "Because I want to have female players in the game." And that seemed common sense from the question. The initial response, regarding softball, could have (and was by me on first reading) been taken as a, "Girls can't play baseball, silly. Take your stupid request and go home." And then the next response could essentially be taken as, "Only a moron would let girls playing baseball." When making the ModSquad/ForumFanatics team, there was talk of making a female face for Olyrunner, whom I believe is a respected member of the MVPMods community. No one scoffed openly at that. Consider the other side is all I'm saying.

Consider the other side is all I'm saying. Ah, look, I really don't think I got to explain every word I type in here to you. So what if I asked why he really wanted it? That was not explained by him yet. And when it was brought up that maybe the cyberfaces were to be used for a softball version, that guy got mad. It seemed to you that the response was sarcastic based on your interpretation. "Girls can't play baseball, silly", but what if it was not meant that way? And then you go even further to assume further responses for other people. I don't care if there are female cyberfaces here, I'd welcome them. What I didn't like was this guy giving people an smart ass attitude when it was not needed. That won't fly around here. But thank you for trying to do my job AstroEric. I'll thank you in advance not to do it again.
AstroEric
Whatever, man. I'm just trying to spread peace, and now you're jumping all over me. Whence the animosity, Y4L? I responded calmly and logically, didn't say, "Damn, Y4L, you a Nazzzzi!" I did so in the interests of hoping people considered the other side, what the perceptions of the original poster might have been, and stated that. What if the initial remark WAS meant that way? But then you, sir, got defensive and stepped out of the bounds of admin neutrality to let me know that you don't appreciate me sharing a different viewpoint than you. That's not being a Nazi, but, in my opinion, it is being overly suppressive and authoritarian, considering that my post was not intended to start fights, but to quell them. Yankee4Life
You assumed that the original post was insulting. Who knows, maybe it was but we can't tell unless the guy who posted it explains his feelings. I don't care what your point of view is, you can have whatever view you want. As far as I am concerned, if there are female cyberfaces in here, great. I'm done with this topic and won't be returning.
AstroEric
And here's my last post here on this subject. While there's some ambiguity in the "softball?" posting, I feel that the second response was more than clear. When you say, "Why in the world," what you mean is, "What possible reason, taking everything into account, could there be?" It's inherently what the phrase means, and thus, I think why the original poster was insulted by the implications of the question. Do we always demand the reason that people request mods? But let's get past this. I'm sort of moody right now because I have poison sumac rashes across my face. Someone step up and make some female generic faces. I've been wanting to do a mini-mod using one or two for awhile. --Eric

AstroEric
Actually, Y4L, when I wrote out the number of Z's, I was thinking more of Kenneth Mars as Franz Liebkind in the Producers: "Baaaaby, baaaaby, vat is dis baby?! Der Fuhrer never said baby!" The real shame is that most readers here aren't old enough to know the original Producers or Hogan's Heroes!
