kgbaseball
KG, do you happen to have a spreadsheet of the cyberface slots you use with your rosters? And if so, would you be so generous to share it? The reason why i'm asking is, that i want to update my models.big by myself. A spreadsheet would be a great help. Just asking... Something like that should be in the works, but will only be made available after all the incorrect cuberface issues are noted.

kjb23
Do you really not see Cotts, Wuertz, and Marshall making the Cubs roster out of ST? Are they all hurt or something? Don't mean to butt in on someone else's comment, but here's what I would have the Cubs' pitching staff as: SP Zambrano SP Lilly SP Prior SP Hill SP Marquis LRP W. Miller LRP Cotts MRP Wood MRP Ohman SU Eyre SU Howry CP Dempster I'm fairly certain Michael Wuertz has options left, so he should be the odd man out. Alternately, if Wade Miller doesn't make the rotation he could be traded somewhere else for a better chance at a rotation spot, clearing the way for Wuertz to make the staff. Just my :twocents:
Ghostdog
KG, here are some suggestions for the Phillies. I think you should assign Brito to AAA since he's coming off an injury and most likely will start in Ottawa when he's healthy. You can replace him with Alfonseca for now and make him the SU. Charlie Manuel is very pleased with him so far and there's a great possibility that he'll be heading North with the Phillies. Alfonseca, Madson and Geary are all in the mix for the setup job. I'd call up Matt Smith as well, for being the lefty specialist. He'll definately make the club, and could use some updates in his numbers. Furthermore, the Phillies are impressed with Fabio Castro and are considering him as a reliable bullpen arm, if they don't pick up another arm before Opening Day. If they do, he'll be a starter in Ottawa. As far as the lineups are concerned you are spot on, except for the DH. Abe Nunez will never be DHing. I think the Phillies will use Burrell as a DH against lefties and put Werth in LF. I see Coste, if he'll make the club :yernuts:, as a DH against rigthies. Oh, one more thing. Do you plan on putting in Adrian Cardenas? He is the 3rd best prospect in the minors and the Phillies are very excited about him.
kgbaseball
Thanks, man! That's exactly what I'm looking for when people give suggestions for a team. As for Cardenas, since he played in the GCL last season, he didn't play at a high enough level to be included. Where he starts 07 (Lakewood?) could change that. Ghostdog
You're welcome man, glad i can help. Cardenas will probably start in Lakewood or even Clearwater. The scouting reports are pretty high on this young man. There are talks that the Phillies are considering to make him a 2nd baseman or 3rd baseman. He'll be a major contributor in the big leagues, if he's developing like he is projected to do. Definately a future Phillies infielder... kgbaseball
I was just reading up on him on scout.com, and he seems to be highly touted. His hitting is already being compared to Utley. Whether or not he's legit still remains to be seen. The Phillies have a pathetic farm system, honestly, so they could be making Cardenas seem better than he is. Let's hope he's a good player, for the Phillie's sake.
Ghostdog
I would not quite say pathetic considering the fact that they brought up Rollins, Myers , Utley, Howard and Hamels over the last decade. That's not a bad average of high quality players that were developed by the Phillies. I'd rather say it's pretty thin right now, but that's not worrying me at all. The Phillies infield is set for years to come, Hamels is our future Ace along Myers, plus guys like Happ, Carrasco and Drabek. The only weakness in the Phillies minor league system is the lack of good position players. Greg Golson, Adrian Cardenas and Michael Bourn are coming to mind, but that's about it. But hey, I have faith in Gillick and i think that he'll definately find ways to strenghten the minors. :twocents:
metalboy15
hey kg one more thing, don´t know if this is caused by some of the mods (facepacks, etc) included in the 07 mod or your roster, but everytime I try to edit Kevin Millar BAL in-game, it freezes, and then I can´t do nothing but exit the game via the windows key. EDIT: some Yankees notes: - The starting rotation is being aligned in this way: #1 Chien-Ming Wang #2 Andy Pettitte #3 Mike Mussina #4 Carl Pavano #5 Kei Igawa - The bullpen seems to be inaccurate, it should be this way: LR: Jeff Karstens (Torre is very impressed by him so far, yesterday he pitched 2 perfect innings in a intrasquad game vs the everyday lineup  ) MR: Scott Proctor MR: Luis Vizcaino MR: Ron Villone (he´ll make the team, we didn´t lose a draft pick for nothing) MR: Mike Myers SU: Kyle Farnsworth CL: Mariano Rivera - The lineup is ok but it needs a few tweaks: vs RHP: Johnny Damon CF Derek Jeter SS Bobby Abreu RF Alex Rodriguez 3B Jason Giambi DH Hideki Matsui LF Jorge Posada C Robinson Canó 2B Doug Mientkiewicz 1B vs LHP: Johnny Damon CF Derek Jeter SS Bobby Abreu RF Alex Rodriguez 3B Jason Giambi DH Hideki Matsui LF Jorge Posada C Robinson Canó 2B Andy Phillips / Josh Phelps 1B (whoever makes the team) if you like I could do the same thing for each of the minor league affiliate of the Yanks, let me know... caribou
Do you really not see Cotts, Wuertz, and Marshall making the Cubs roster out of ST? Are they all hurt or something? Barring injuries and the unforeseen - Cotts will make the team, Wuertz should and Marshall will not. Starting rotation: Zambrano, Lilly, Prior, Hill, Marquis Pen: Miller, Cotts, Wuertz, Ohman, Wood, Howry, Eyre, Dempster Position: Barrett, Lee, DeRosa, Izturis, Ramirez, Murton, Soriano, Jones Bench: Blanco, Theriot, Ward, Floyd. That's the 25 right now. By opening day, one of those pitchers will lose their spot and the 25th man will be added to the bench. Pagan currently has the upperhand with Cedeno needing a huge Spring. The most likely pitcher to lose his spot is currently Wade Miller (who is topping out at 84 mph after 25 pitches). But if he builds up some strength and they decide to go with a long relief role for him, Ohman or Wuertz might start the year on an optional assignment if everyone else is healthy -- of course Miller, Ohman and Dempster are all trade candidates this spring too. metalboy15
Everytime I go to edit a player, the game freezes on me. that happens to me as well ... but just with Kevin Millar... btw I guess I was right on the Ron Villone thing: Joe Torre was talking about the bullpen today and more or less said non-roster LHP Ron Villone would be on the team. The only spot they need to fill is for a long man and that could well be somebody like Jeff Karstens. Right now, the seven relievers look to be Mariano Rivera, Scott Proctor, Krazy Kyle Farnsworth, Luis Vizcaino, Mike Myers, Ron Villone and TBA. http://yankees.lohudblogs.com/ :smokin:

The reason I see Novoa making the team and Wuertz/Cotts not is because Cotts and Wuertz have options and Novoa does not IIRC. I think Pagan is a virtual lock, as the Cubs would like Cedeno to start and Pagan is the only true CF on the roster. Plus, the chances of the Cubs carrying three lefties on the roster are slim, IMO. Marshall is definitely going to AAA. No way in hell he's making the team barring injuries. The Cubs want him to start, and to do that, he's goin' to Iowa. kjb23
cubsfan, i'm not sure if Novoa has options, but the Cubs traded a promising reliever in David Aardsma to get Cotts, I don't think they'll stick him in the minors, despite already having two lefties in the bullpen. I do agree with you on Pagan, Cedeno, and Marshall though.

TheMadcap
Hey Kg..couple of things. Alfonseca has reportedly got his velocity back to the 95-96 mph range he was at before his injury. Utley is a terror on low balls in the strike zone. Low middle should be a hotspot atleast against righties, prob against lefties too. Joel Guzman TB, should probably be Left field primary and utility for a secondary def position. he's been projected as an outfielder in the majors because of his mediocre defensive skills but has also been listed as at SS, 3B & 1B

SESbb30
yeah, technically, a rookie, but i would not call him a rookie, 5 or 6 years of domination in japan does not equal a rookie.
kgbaseball
All done with the Top 100 list. Everyone who is currently on the list has been given the "Top Prospect" logo in the game. I had to create 4 players as a result of the new list, so Cincy's Drew Stubbs, New York's Dellin Betances, Baltimore's Pedro Beato, and Minnesota's Chris Parmelee are now a part of the roster. Tonight I'll get them all into the Future Stars teams, which replaced the Heros and legends teams.
