Oh, I'm definately interested. KC does a great job with the Major League uniforms. I just wish we had someone to tackle the minors like that. I've made some uniforms, but nothing to the detail that ya'll do.

I'll be on the lookout for your stuff. Thanks.

That is my whole point of making this thread. I want to make a next gen version of mvp baseball. If anyone wants to help.

Don't think I ever had a problem with stadiums crashing

me neither, so I'm interested to see where this ends up. I'd be willing to try out a beta file since my computer is pretty new. If it would work then this game is going to looks absolutely stunning.

Umm I'm not seeing it, how is this better than KC's 2x uniforms?

BTW if you use DXT with Mips the game will auto choose the highest level that game can still run 100% at

You dont see it? The clarity. It looks sweet. The buttons are crips the jersey texture looks so up to date. it would be great. Oh yea you alsomentioned that it crashes stadiums. I put that 4x uniform in every stadium to see if i had any problems at all. and it runs smooth in every stadium. no stuttering at all or crashes.

if you have to pause the game and zoom up on the players to see the difference, what is the point?

About 30% of the people who downloaded the 06 mod had crashing problems with chase field and 2x uniforms until I moded chase field and reuploaded the files

double the uniforms again and you will see a 60% rate with stadiums

BTW, it would be nice to see more minor league updates (in any resolution at all) before going for ultra-high resolution MLB uniforms when they already exist, if anyone is willing to tackle them.

Is there any way to find reliable pictures of what jerseys teams wear? The minor-league sites don't really shed any light on the problem?

Not everybody has the same specs for their computer, so there would be people that would experience crashing problems.

Should have used two different pictures of the same Royals jersey to compare. 4X has kick *** buttons though. I need to sample these uniforms out before I am sold. While the night version of Chase Field works for me, I get crashes in the day one. (Luckily in MVP 2005 you can always choose which stadium you play in and at what time.)

But, I think that most computers should be able to handle 4X gloves, cleats, and wrist bands, right?

Kraw, do you think you can tell me what DXT and Mips are? I'm not so cumputer savvy.

Kc's uni's at 2x are already spectacular.

Adding higher resolution accessories is a good idea, imo.

Why 2x skin files when the only part you see are the arms?

I think we should be looking into how we can make the game look better, like using oedit for the player models.

4x isn't possible with stadiums as there is a cram32 limitation. The cram32 file can only be so big otherwise the game will crash. Also the game won't accept any textures for the stadium larger than 2048x2048.

Yeah, but at the same time, since we can use both mstadium.o and removable.o and import many new entries into cram32, you can switch those parts in the obligatory big miscellaneous files to individual 2048x2048 and really up the res.

I would love a 2048x2048 grass mod, even if it would annihilate my system. The grass, no matter what happens, is probably the weakest parts of stadiums. So between higher res files, and using alphablend instead of those rough off-and-on alphas, we should be able to greatly increase the quality of parks in the future.

bigbully, would you mind taking a look at the Tampa Yankees uniform? For some reason, the last names on their backs are in a weird green font.
