Most PC users on the site that play the game have their graphics card at default settings with anti aliasing disabled. The dirt can be fixed, I'm guessing, but when SerialMike had the HD grass in his updates people complained about it shimmering, it's nothing new IMO. Not being a smartass when I say this. How about asking the guy who created the mod? I do have a feedback thread on the release of 2.0... Anyway as for the dirt, it's the best I could do but I may revisit it in '07. Keep in mind those rounded edges next to 1st and 3rd base were not part of the original infield dirt and had to be added. I had to painstakingly match the colors to try to get the two dirt textures to match up and I spent hours doing this and I didn't even get into the mapping and placement of the two parts. Add to the fact that I have so much detail and large files in the cram32, I had to achieve a balance so that was the best I could do. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The way that dirt is illuminated in the night version (which I assume you are talking about) is pretty harsh. That's something I plan to revist eventually. I'm still enjoying "retirement." Now back to the thread. Hi-res dirt is something I tried but it just seemed to make it worse. The grass and dirt actually look better if you lower the resolution from default IMHO... Also, I have asked you twice to send the file my way for some testing in 1x and 2x and for testing some stuff with the field patterns. You don't have to since you are the one that put all this together, but I think it would be good to have me test it also since I have a severe shimmering issue and a mediocre video card.
