xcrunner4623
Is there any reason why pitching is impossible in this mod? I can't locate any pitches, and the hitters always whale the hell out of it. On the "2005" version for the PS2, I am dominant. Any ideas how to make it easier. I have tried sliders to a degree. Will I Need a datafile?
RaptorQuiz
Is there any reason why pitching is impossible in this mod? I can't locate any pitches, and the hitters always whale the hell out of it. On the "2005" version for the PS2, I am dominant. Any ideas how to make it easier. I have tried sliders to a degree. Will I Need a datafile? Just as a friendly warning - this question has been asked about a MILLION times and answered at least half that many times. People get REALLY angry around here when that kind of thing happens. CLICK ME: http://www.mvpmods.com/Forums/search.html The search function is really helpful. ... Now, to somewhat answer your question: I had great troubles with the pitching when I first installed the '06 mod as well. It irritated me for a while. So I moved the sliders all the way to make the USER PITCHING easier. It makes the "Green area" on the slider bigger. It's still much harder than default. But I got used to it. Eventually, I moved the slider all the way back to zero, and that is how I play now. It made me BETTER at pitching in the game. Just imagine that this '06 mod is a new game, and this is just how the pitching is - get used to it after a while, and you'll be fine. NOW, if that doesn't help you, YES, there is a datafile out there. THAT, however, I am not sure where it is. Perhaps someone else will respond and help you with that. RaptorQuiz
Just don't play when you are drunk. You'll get rocked. TRUE! I find Red Bull does NOT increase my reaction time, making me better at ANYTHING. Maybe I should sue them for false advertising... ...or maybe it's because of all the Vodka I put in with it. lol. :pint:

thr33niL
I love how hard pitching is now. I can pitch a gem for 4 or 5 innings then have the inevitable thumb slip and know the pitch will get crushed before the batter even swings. Nothing is more boring than beating the tar out of teams left and right. Sometimes its fun to have your *** handed to you. :)
abc006
:offtopic: LOL!! ... LOLnow to any normal person, when someone writes "lololololol", they would pronounce it like long minus the ng over and over again. but on the computer, people would read that as lol-lol-lol-lol, even though it's not. the normal people were actually right. lolololol, that's so funny, i laughed out loud thrice and a half. though now that i think about it, it reads laugh out loud out loud out laugh out loud. :ontopic: now on topic: at first when i downloaded it, i thought something was wrong, but since then i've kind of gotten used to it. of course, it ruined any dreams of me playing at mvp, or all-star level for that matter, and winning, but oh well. Jim825
In the MVP06 mod, the datafile changes were merged back into the datafile.big file (which is in your MVP Baseball 2005 data datafile folder. That's why you cannot find a separate datafile.txt file.

Frustrating at times but rewarding overall. Cant win em all.
