so i'm aware of fraps and all...but does anyone know of any program that will capture video footage of anything that appears on my screen? something closer to the free side would be nice too, but i'll wait to see what anyone can suggest.

well, it doesn't work. just like the previous programs, it needs a video source. i'm looking for something that can capture video of whatever is on my screen. for instance, if i open up photoshop, you see that in the video. if i move my mouse, you see it on the video.

isn't this just the same as fraps? where you can record in game videos? that's not exactly what i'm looking for. i want something that will record anything that appears on my screen. so anything i see, i want to be able to capture a video of it. is that even possible?

S.W.I.N.E. - a free full version RTS (not usually my thing but I had a lot of fun with it)

well here's another question....and this may be in the wrong thread, but i figured maybe there's a better program for this too. but when i make my own video, and then use a dvd program such as Nero, to make my own dvd, why does the quality suck? the videos are all blurry even with the quality set to high.

well i'm creating full uncompressed videos, whose resolution looks great when playing with a media player. but the second i burn it to a dvd movie, the resolution goes to crap.

Try converting it to Xvid first before burning.
