The_Jerk
Just an interesting game to kill some time. IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE? So, here's how it works: 1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc) 2. Put it on shuffle/Random 3. Press play 4. For every question, type the song that's playing 5. When you go to a new question, press the next button Here's mine: Opening Credits: Outside the Wall - Pink Floyd - But its the closer for the Wall? Okay Waking Up: Why Don't You Get a Job - The Offspring - But I have a job, stupid iTunes. First Day at School: Lilacs and Lolita - From Autumn to Ashes - First of all, calling first graders 'lolita' is just plain wrong. Secondly, this song would scare little kids. Falling In Love: Bedlam in Belgium - ACDC - But I've never been to Belgium. And since when do you fall in love just after you start school? Breaking Up: I'm Affected - The Ramones - But no one ever broke up with Joey Ramone, he would've dumped them first. Prom: In Bloom - Nirvana - Disturbing metaphor, two thumbs up. Life's OK: Cancer - My Chemical Romance - Are you kidding, that's one of the most depressing songs ever. If a terminal illness is your high point in life, somethings wrong. Mental Breakdown: Babe I'm Gonna Leave You - Led Zeppelin - Where were you for that break up one? Anyways, this is too good a song to have a breakdown to. Driving: Stop the Fuckin' Car - Circa Survive - That's freaky. Stop reading my emails iTunes. Flashback: Never Let You Go - Third Eye Blind - Yeah, that seems right. Getting Back Together: 2 x 4 - Blind Melon Wedding: What's Your Name - Lynard Skynard - See now I have a good joke to pull on my fiancee when I'm at my wedding, thanks iTunes. Sex Scene: Train in the Vain - The Clash - I know it sounds sexual, but pretty much everything does. Birth of Child: Let Weight Be Measured By Merit - Kaddisfly - Haha, tell the kid he's not good enough the second he's born Final Battle: 2112 - Rush - That is one long battle. Death Scene: A) Pt 1 - The Mars Volta Funeral Song: Pulmonary Archery - alexisonfire - Pretty intense funeral End Credits: Hulahoop Wounds - At The Drive In - Good song, unfortunate title

AstroEric
I cut non-English titles, Christmas songs, and most soundtrack stuff from mine by skipping to the next song. Otherwise the soundtrack to my life would be scored mostly by Piero Piccioni (and that'd be a-okay with me). Opening Credits: Song Against Sex - Neutral Milk Hotel (I guess the birth of me = a good reason not to procreate) Waking Up: Something Fierce - The Impossibles (Waking up on a shitty day maybe.) First Day at School: Look Here - The Clash (No idea.) Falling In Love: Grandaddy - The Go in Go For It (Hey! This one actually works!) Breaking Up: I Thought You Were My Boyfriend - The Magnetic Fields (Hey! Two in a row!) Prom: Miami Cocktail Lounge - Astrud Gilberto (The most laid-back, obscure prom EVER.) Life's OK: Planetary - Rainer Maria (This is a great life's ok song.) Mental Breakdown: Eternal Flame - The Bangles (Seriously, I'm ashamed that this popped up there. But this would be a great song for a scene of someone walking into an asylum). Driving: Return - The Impossibles (Second appearance of the Impossibles. I actually love driving to this song, but it makes me drive erratically.) Flashback: Testament to Youth in Verse - New Pornographers (This one works pretty well.) Getting Back Together: She's the One - Bruce Springsteen (This one works too. Starting to get freaky.) Wedding: Cheapskates - The Clash (The hell we were! Well, I guess we didn't pay for it....) Sex Scene: Take My Hand, Precious Lord - Elvis (That's messed up, Winamp. Seriously.) Birth of Child: Split - Jawbreaker (Maybe they're talking about the perineum as the baby comes out. For those of you at home, the perineum is the chode, the grundle, the taint, the derf if you will....) Final Battle: Iko Iko - James "Sugar Boy" Crawford (Apparently my last battle takes place with another flag boy at Mardi Gras.) Death Scene: Cry of Man - Mary Margaret O'Hara (Okay, so I never heard this song before. It's on that "Rogue's Gallery" pirate shanties collection. This song is awesome. And I totally want it to be my death song. It was apparently written by a tramp poet named Harry Kemp. Here are the lyrics: There is a crying in my heart That never will be still, Like the voice of a lonely bird Behind a starry hill; There is a crying in my heart For what I may not know-- An infinite crying of desire Because my feet are slow... My feet are slow, my eyes are blind, My hands are weak to hold: It is the universe I seek, All life I would enfold!) Funeral Song: Shenandoah - Greene, Richard & Jack **** (The preceding song on the Rogue's Gallery album. And it works great as my funeral song. Winamp now has me scared that I'm going to die. This is really what I want my funeral to sound like. Now how to tell my wife...?) End Credits: Death of an Interior Decorator - Death Cab for Cutie (As good as any, I guess.)
