kdawg325
I'm trying to install Kraw's MVP 2006 update and it says that I need to put patch #3 or #5 on before. I'm going with 3 because it looked like 5 had some problems (if I'm better with 5, let me know), but I get this error message when I try to do it: Old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match. I do have MVP on my D drive (I have my HD partioned, C is programs, D is data) which is not default, but I was running out of room on my C so I had to. Is this causing the problem? Am I doing something else wrong? Let me know, thanks!
evil1182
Are you using a fixed exe? (no-cd crack)
kdawg325
Yes, cuz I had to pay $60 for the game cuz you can't find it anywhere I don't want it getting scratched. Do I have to use the CD for the patch to work?
angryrat
no have to use the original EXE, not the no cd exe.... then place your cracked exe over the patched original.
kdawg325
So do I have to reinstall, then patch, then use the crack? Do I have that right?
angryrat
if you backed up your original exe, you could just go back to it. or you may possibly be able to obtain it off the disc.
kdawg325
Backed up... heh, heh. Not that smart, but I am learning. I'll just reinstall cuz I haven't touched the game yet, thanks though.
angryrat
if you put the cd in, its probably on your original cd. for future reference, start backing up everything that you mod. it comes in handy, quite often.
kdawg325
Alright, thanks. Yea, I knew that from doing stadium mods on my Xbox. I didn't think of backing up the .exe before I cracked it though.
angryrat
no problem. and to the moderators/anyone who wants to accuse me for having the game illegally. I do not. I'm in the same situation as KDawg, I didn't give advice on downloading the game illegally.
krawhitham
if you have ever installed a different roster than EA's the patch will not install
kdawg325
So the patch first? And then I can do everything? Also, does it matter patch 3 or 5? Is one better? One have more problems? I was debating big time even though it might sound like a minor thing

Don
Sorry, but I don't understand.....what if you have already installed a roster before wanting to use an EA patch? What can you do? I installed KG's latest roster, but now my game keeps stuttering....I'm hoping that patch 4 or 5 will solve my problem.

Copy & paste them to your database folder. Install the patch. Reinstall the KG's latest roster.

HagbardCeline
I'm also having trouble with the Kraw roster update. I did a clean install of the game, installed patches 3 and 5, pasted in his database folder, but the game crashes to desktop if I try to go into a game or sim a game. When I swapped out the database with the original it worked fine. I was thinking of pasting in the database files one by one to see if any one of them was causing the trouble, but that seemed like a lot of work. I'm not using a crack or anything either. Any ideas?
