rollosmokes
I installed it a few days ago, and everything was working fine until... I'm having problems with both viewing and installing uniforms for five teams: the Angels, Mariners, Tigers, Blue Jays, and Giants. For all of these teams, the bar stops at 70 percent while encoding the uniforms for viewing. I can vew the uniform files for these teams on EA Graphics Editor or fshEd with no problem. So what could I have done wrong with MVP Studio? Is there any way I can uninstall and reinstall clean? FWIW, I have used Krawhitham's Installer Thingy and it's cool, but I don't wish to overwrite any current unis I have with ones I want to upload. I know I can with that and with EAGraph, but I'll need to change the letter at the end of the file (eg. 002g to 002i). Can that be done and will it work? Foo4Everlong
I was wondering this myself. What letters can you use when importing a new uniform using Fuzzone's MVP Studio 2006???? (Assuming there are open slots) For instance, if you import the Red Sox uniforms into Fuzzone's MVP Studio 06 you'll see that there are two extra spots available to import uniforms. Now the number that is used for the Red Sox uniform is 10, and the letters that are already in use are: 10a, 10b, 10c, 10g, 10h, 10i, 10j, 10k, 10o, 10p. Now, is it my assumption that when adding a NEW uniform, to an available slot, the letters I could possibly use would be: d, e, f, l, m, or n???? Is my asumption correct? Thanks in advance for anyone who might be able to help. Later
Homer
from my understanding with adding uniforms to an empty slot with MVP Studio, it doesn't matter what name you title your uni as the program will rename it appropriately. you just need to make sure to have all three files. but i think fuzzone would be the guy to ask. rollosmokes
have you tried it in game? is it possible your models.big is corrupted? Models.big must be corrupted in some way. I started my ALCS Game 1 between the Yankees (my dynasty team) and the Angels (one of the affected teams), and no Angel uniforms were shown on the uniform selection screen just before the game crashed. I can try overwriting my current models.big file with the original (even though I'll then have to reinstall all of my uniform updates), but is there more I should do? rollosmokes
After using a cybercomb to look through my models.big files, I discovered the source behind the mess: both the models.big and the uniforms.big files in my MVP studio folder -- NOT the ones in the main data folder -- were corrupted. For example, the uniforms.big file featured Mariners portraits in the Royals, Giants and Blue Jays slots (go figure), and a few Fxxx.fsh files were in place of Uxxx.fsh files in models.big. And all of this despite following all directions while installing uniforms. Anyway, I overwrote both files with the originals from the second disk, and I'll have to reinstall all uniform mods. No big deal, at least no further damage was done.
Homer
well, i gotta say i've experienced a similar problem using it too. i've noticed that when installing uniforms that the uniform and portraits get mixed up sometimes. i just use kraw's installer for about everything now. but this issue seems to be something you should contact fuzzone about. Foo4Everlong
Yes, I as well have had issues with the MVP Studio 2006. For instance, the Red Sox have 12 slots, but only ten of them are used. So I tried to import another home uniform (the Red Sox Inaugural 2004 Champions uniform with gold trim), as well as another away uniform (2004 WS Away Uniform) into the empty slots. I assigned these to the empty slots and changed the letters on the two .fsh files so that they wouldn't get confused with the home and away uni's that are already in the list, as well as the others within the list. So anyways, when I go in to use the uniforms that I imported they are there, BUT, they also replace the home and away uni's that I want to keep within the list. So instead of having two different home and two different away uni's, I have two of the same home's and two of the same away uniforms. If someone can help with this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much. Later
Jim825
I had experienced a problem the first time I used it, so I went back to using the 2005 version of MVPStudio (luckily I still had it). I've also used Kraw's tool, which is nice because it compresses the uniform files when it adds them (meaning that your models.big is smaller). That's why the models.big in Total Classics is only 168 Mb, rather than over 300 Mb when all the uniforms were added.

No big deal, at least no further damage was done. I spoke too soon -- everything was fine initially until I started uploading unis. Now my uniforms.big file has Phillies unis in the Giants' slots, and nothing for the Blue Jays, Diamondbacks, Cubs, and Devil Rays. I'll fire off a message/e-mail to Fuzz about this and see what can be done.
