TribeFan4Eva Posted November 4, 2006 Share Posted November 4, 2006 Anyone who has seen my posts since I've got here has seen I'm always having problems with lag and bright colors. My pc is kind of low end and I'm not that technical so I just dealt with it and played because the mods here are amazing. Well I finally cracked and the last few weeks I did a ton of research. I bought a Radeon 9250 pci card from buy.com for 72 bucks (after google $10 rebate). that card normally goes anywhere from 85-100 bucks. i also bought a stronger power supply and I am purchasing new ram. i got my video card in yesterday and could barely figure out how to install it. well i finally got it, and WOW!!!!!! i know that video card might be low end to some of you, but compared to my onboard video card, its night and day. the uniform colors are completely fixed. the little details are amazing. the game runs so smooth. i am so shocked at the difference. it has solved virtually every problem i had with this game. to those of you that just deal with the problems of a low end video card like i did, take it from me........you will not truly appreciate this game until you upgrade. i have been playing this non-stop like its a brand new game. everything looks so awesome...and the lag is completely gone... i just had one question....whats "kraws compression program" everyone talks about when using the radeon 9250? what would that change on my game?? thanks... also a HUGE thanks to all the people here who helped me realize i needed a new video card...you've made my year!!!
