From my expirence it's best to use a datafile so both users have the same settings. I believe the game crashes if both are not using the same datafile. So everyone who downloads MD's datafile make sure you copy the datafile from the 3.1 (the one with no cameras or music, just the basic) and paste it into your data folder. It wouldn't work until I sent my challenger my datafile.big file and they replaced it and everything worked. Right now I have no datafile.txt in my data folder, just a folder called MD datafile v3.1 in there, with the datafile inside. however I don't understand how the game reads the file from in there. TribeFan4Eva Posted November 8, 2006 Share Posted November 8, 2006 you are good to go. if you do what i say, just drag the entire extraction into the data folder, it will work. when you drag the entire extraction the .txt is included in there and gets dragged along with it... if anyone thinks I'm wrong here please let me know...but it makes sense if you drag EVERYTHING into the data folder that the .txt will be included in EVERYTHING. And you can only have one datafile.txt and one datafile.big. And they both have to match your oponnent... I think.
