Well, I've never actually played IP to IP because I thought you had to have the online components of the game installed (which I don't), but I'd like to try sometime. If we used my roster, I'd be Cleveland, Florida ,AA Akron or AA Tennessee.

Do I need any extra programs to play IP to IP?

GAME 1: PHILLIES WIN 6-3

The Phillies used the bat of Aaron Rowand and the arm of Brett Myers to propel themselves to victory Sunday night.

Rowand's grand slam capped off a five-run third inning for the Phils as they sent eight men to the plate against Cleveland starter C.C. Sabathia (0-1). After both Jimmy Rollins and David Dellucci singled, and recorded a double steal, Sabathia intentionally walked Ryan Howard to load the bases. Pat Burrell singled in Rollins, and Rowand crushed Sabathia's first pitch over the right center field wall to clear the sacks.

"Rowand put a great swing on the ball, and it just went," Phillies manager Blaze Fraizer said.

The Indians got a run back in the sixth when Victor Martinez hit a sacrafice fly to score Grady Sizemore. The Indians got within three when Andy Marte's sac fly scored Casey Blake. Sizemore continued a great day at the plate, scoring Aaron Boone who tripled to lead off the eigth.

But with two outs in the bottom of the frame, Mike Lieberthal hit a solo home run off of Fernando Cabrera to end the scoring.

Myers pitched seven strong innings, scattering 11 hits and three runs, while striking out two.

"We just made too many mistakes to win the game tonight," Indians manager Eric Wedge said. "They played great so lets give them credit. We left too many men on and couldn't get the big hit. Hopefully we'll come out tomorrow and swing the bats a little better."

The Indians left 11 men on base in the contest.

"We were able to rattle Sabathia early," Fraizer said. "Hopefully we can continue this momentum into the next games in the series."

The Phillies, looking to go up 2-0 in the series will hand the ball to young phenom Cole Hamels. Hamles has a dangerous change-up and an equally knee-buckling curve.

The Indians send Jake Westbrook to the mound to right the ship. He has a dangerous sinker and a lively fastball.

LATE RUNS PROPEL PHILS

Down 3-1 going into the seventh inning, the Phillies needed some magic. Jake Westbrook (0-1) pitched stellarly through six, giving the Phillies no breathing room.

Casey Blake's misjudgment of Abraham Nunez's liner led to the game-tying triple. Nunez ripped a hit into right field with two men on, and Blake charged in, making a diving attempt for the ball. Unfortunately for Blake, the ball went past him, to the wall, and Nunez advanced to third.

"No excuses, that cost us the game," Blake said. "I thought I had a beat on it, and I just misplayed it. I let my teammates down today."

After replacing Westrbook (6 1/3 innings, 11 hits, 4 runs, 2 K), Jason Davis tried to sneak a slider by pinch-hitter Jeff Conine, but Conine crushed it into the left field stands.

The Indians went up early 1-0 on Jason Michael's first inning home run. The Phils answered on a Mike Lieberthal RBI single. Two frames later, Blake hit his first home run of the series to give Cleveland a 2-1 lead. Blake continued a good day at the plate, tripling to lead of the seventh, and later scored of Hector Luna's sacrafice fly.

Cole Hamels (1-0) picked up the win after going 7 innings, scattering 8 hits, and giving up three runs. Arthur Rhodes picked up the two inning save.

Jhonny Peralta will be out for the series after dislocating his shoulder on a diving stop in the sixth.

"This one stings," Indians manager Eric Wedge said. "It's gonna take awhile to forget about this one. We had them on the ropes and we let them survive."

The Phillies took advantage of their second chance, and now they head into Jacobs Field with a 2-0 series lead.

SMALL BALL PROPELS PHILS TO 3-0 SERIES LEAD

The Phillies single-handidly put the Indians in a 3-0 series hole with the 4-2 win at Jacobs Field.

Philadelphia got on the board first in the fourth inning when Mike Lieberthal smoked one down the line at third. Andy Marte dove and got the ball, but decided to get Lieberthal at first rather than Ryan Howard at home. The Phillies added another in the fifth after Shane Victorino's RBI double.

The Indians finally got some bats on the ball against Randy Wolf (1-0), who pitched spectacularly through his seven innings of work. Cleveland scored on Aaron Boone's first home run of the series.

Wolf pitched seven strong innings only giving up one run on six hits. Cliff Lee (0-1) went 7 1/3 innings, scattering 11 hits and having three runs earned.

The Phils put another run on the board in the sixth when Lieberthal singled home Pat Burrell from third base.

The Indians were able to claw within one in the eigth after a Victor Martinez opposite field home run. But in the top of the ninth, Rafael Bantencourt hung a 2 out curveball to David Dellucci. The curveball ended up in the right field stands to end the scoring.

"We played great today," Dellucci said. "Hopefully the only time we will go back to Philly in this series is to celebrate a victory."

INDIANS HOLD OFF ELIMINATION

The Cleveland Indians used a big swing from Kelly Shoppach and a big arm from Jeremey Sowers to down the Phillies 3-1.

In the second inning, Jamie Moyer (0-1) left a pitch over the inside part of the plate that Shoppach crushed over the wall in left for his first home run.

"I guess my hand was a little bit slippery," Moyer said. "I meant to put it outside corner, but it moved on me."

"I didn't even know I was playing till right before gametime," Shoppach said. "Coach told me I was starting. I'm just happy I was able to contribute and help us win tonight."

The Phillies bats couldn't get much going off of Sowers (1-0), who went the full nine innings only giving up one run on ten hits.

"He just looked on today," Phillies manager Blaze Fraizer said. "He was locked in, and wanted to help his team win."

The Phillies got their lone run on a Chase Utley RBI single in the first inning.

"We finally got one from them," Indians manager Eric Wedge said. "They'd been kickin our butts the whole series. Hopefully we can take care of business at home in Game 5 and hope for the best in Philly."

LIEBERTHAL LEADS PHILS TO SERIES WIN

Mike Lieberthal did not want the series to go back to Philadelphia. He made sure it didn't. He paced the Phillies to a 6-3 victory.

Lieberthal hit a two-run homer in the second inning to put the Phillies up 3-0. Earlier in the inning, Jose Hernandez's single glanced off the bag at first and bounced over a diving Casey Blake, allowing Ryan Howard to score.

The Indians got one back in the fourth after Joe Inglett scored Aaron Boone from second.

The Phillies got two in the eigth after a Shane Victorino lead off home run and Chase Utley scored after tripling.

In the bottom of the inning, Jason Michaels connected on his second home run of the series to bring the Indians within two.

Hernandez put the final Phillies run on the board after scoring on Mike Lieberthal's RBI ground out.

"Sometime the bounces go your way, sometimes they don't," Indians manager Eric Wedge said. "That bounce off the bag cost us a run and it would have been the third out. Then CC gets frustrated and gives up the two-run bomb. That really hurt. Then Sizemore made a mental error. Too much to make up for against a good team like the Phillies. Maybe next year."
