HardcoreLegend
At Busch Stadium, there are a few 'sounds' that are easily recognizable to the building. One of those is Ernie Hayes playing on the organ 'Here comes the King (of beers). The audio is as follows: http://home.comcast.net/~glgrimm1/budtheme.mp3 Secondly, after a homerun, there is a revving up air horn (can't find the audio) that plays as the fireworks go off, followed by the theme song found in those Six Flags commercials with the old guy dancing. If these have already been done, just tell me I'm an idiot and to go on my way. If they haven't, I'd appreciate it if someone with audio modding abilities could look into this. Having 'Here Comes the King of Beers' organ music playing instead of charge or some such would be great.
Hory
It's possible to insert that tune as a rally sound, but it would be used in all stadiums. The only way I can think of to tie it only to Busch is to use it as a unique Cardinals team chant or something like that. With the home run celebration music a random batter walk-up tune is played, that would have to be added as a walk up tune and even then would only be randomly played and in all stadiums. However it might be possible to replace some of the fireworks sounds with it, but again, it would be played in all stadiums.
HardcoreLegend
Hmm...I think the Cardinals team chant replaced with the organ music could work. I was afraid that was the answer about the homerun sound though. I can't even track down the air-raid horn sound anyways, or else I'd just replace the siren that is already in there with it. LOL, every time i'm at a game and someone hits a homer I think of that old guy coming out and dancing.
HardcoreLegend
Here is a re-creation of the Busch Stadium air siren with background explosions. How do I go about replacing the siren with it? http://home.comcast.net/~glgrimm1/buschstadiumhomerun2.wav
Hory
Actually I'm completely wrong in dataaudiohmrn_sfx & dataaudiocdhmrn_sfx there are stadium specific horns and sirens it'll definitely be possible to replace one of the custom stadium home run effect slots (Safeco or SBC Park) with Busch Stadium But hopefully it is possible to add slots and have stadium specific homerun effects for every park in the game, that would be awesome
HardcoreLegend
I tried to open the big file in there to see what audio files were indeed in there but couldn't do so. That would be a pretty big development if you could assign stadium specific sirens and horns (adding more slots) because it would allow for homerun music for every stadium. Hory
If you want to listen to them use the nhl asf player from here http://www.kulibin.rhlmod.ru/index.php?lang=eng&fold=nhl06 and open up hsfxdat.big I'm work on figuring out the hsfxhdr.big file and then I'll try out adding or replacing a stadium specific homerun celebration with 'extractor' & post what I find
HardcoreLegend
Thanks for the link. I'll mess around in there and see what I find. If we ever do get stadium specific ones, I think I've captured the Busch Stadium one mixing together some files. Should be interesting to see how it turns out with the in-game crowd: http://home.comcast.net/~glgrimm1/buschsta...homerunsong.wav Thanks again. Hory
I swapped out the Mariners unique home run sounds and added your first home run siren you posted and it worked well, the second one is a little too long, as the song is still playing when the next batter is at the plate. This is how it is done, edit hsfxhdr.big to change Seattle's unique sounds to St Louis - 03 00 gets changed to 19 00 (STL is team #24, 24 in hex is 19) So now the Safeco Field unique stadium sounds get played when a home run is hit at Busch now we need to change those sounds using extractor to open hsfxdat.big numbers 10 through 14 are the Safeco home run sounds from hrnsfx.txt these are the 5 different sounds which comprise the 2 possible home run celebration effects teamspecific:03 fireworks1.03.wf.wav 0 fireworks1train1.03.wf.wav 326656 fireworks2.03.wf.wav 654080 fireworks2train1.03.wf.wav 919808 trainhorn1.03.nf.wav 1248000 so you would add your horn sounds in the eleventh & thirteenth slots (10 & 12 are just the fireworks sounds) I inserted a blank sound in slot 14, since I didn't want the extra train horn to play in Busch. using extractor select the .mus file you want to replace and then press Ctrl+I to import, make sure the asf file is smaller than the original version, (it may be possible to add larger ones, but we'll try and keep it simple) If you want to compress your .wav files to the smallest possible size, while still sounding good, use this sx.exe command sx -ps2stream -.dat *.wav -mt_blk You should be able to get effects that are the same duration as the originals but at half the size with this Hopefully some of this makes sense, right now I'm trying to add new unique stadium sounds rather than merely replacing Safeco or SBC
HardcoreLegend
To resurrect this, were you ever able to find a way to add unique new stadium sounds? I remember that the Indians use the 'Hey Song' after every HR at Progressive Field.
