UncleMo
Just wondering about this. I've had a couple of people ask me via PM if I would follow their dynasty if they wrote about it. I've noticed many people start one only to fizzle later on for whatever reason. I personally have never followed one and don’t see why I would choose to, though can see why others would. I’ve actually thought about doing one but it is not a passion of mine so it is not something I’d want the task to do. I have an outrageous idea for a good read but would not want to put the work into doing box scores, different colored font, etc. So with these random thoughts I’m just curious how many of you really follow those threads on this site. Please don’t post saying you follow your created thread, lol. Have a great day. Edit-man, I may have posted this in the wrong forum.
theotherguy619
Sometimes, but whenever the new DBacks uni's a made, I'm going to start one. I figure if I write about it and post results, it will make me want to keep playing.
D-Unit
I do, hopefully people follow mine.
kgbaseball
Mine always fizzle because I get sick of the recaps taking longer to do than the actual game. If people were just interested in the box score, I'd do it, but most people aren't; they want pictures and colored text. The only dynasty I currently pay attention to is the Total Classics tournament.
tywiggins
I just check out the dynasty threads when they are in the latest forums posts on the front page of the site. I like to see how many people are making use of my boxscore extractor.

And I thank you for it Those recaps do get pretty tedious - for my purposes, I have a template set up in a notepad file that I can just plug the new game into. So it takes some of the time off - but it still takes at least 30 minutes to upload images and write up captions, etc. Definitely not for the person who just wants to play the game. I just check out the dynasty threads when they are in the latest forums posts on the front page of the site. I like to see how many people are making use of my boxscore extractor. One of my favorite mods - probably right behind the Total Classics mod itself. You did a hell of a job on it.
D-Unit
Yeah Ty, the boxscore saves a lot of time to make a recap. And it pretty much saves a ton of stat posting, so I can focus on a more intriguing story.

fred13
If there's ever a dynasty that is as good as Lual's "Return of the Big Red..." was, I would follow for sure.

Yea, that's what I was doing with my dynasty, I had a few storylines I was going to do based on real life, BJ Upton getting busted for a DUI, Lester being diagnosed with cancer, the new Yankee Stadium etc etc For me the storyline is far more interesting than what sliders & mods the player is using. My dynasty has sort of fizzled out now, because I got sick of writing up the game reports, I'm still actually playing the dynasty, however I'm about 12 games ahead of my last game report I posted, I might get back to it if I can. I was actually inspired by some of the ootp dynasties I've read on the simcentral boards, now those are really interesting The Rewriting History: the 1927 Reassignment Draft thread was the best ever
