tribefanisu2003
I've had this problem with several batch files that I've downloaded, and I can't figure out why. Anyway, I was working through jogar's cyberface tutorial yesterday night, and I got to the point where I had extracted the ord and orl files, and was ready to convert them to o files to use in oedit. When I double-clicked the "ord to o" batch file, a dos screen flashed really quickly, but no o file was produced. It flashed too quickly for me to see any kind of error message or anything. This happened with the pitchmeter.rar fix the other night as well, but I tried it again, and though the dos screen flashed again, it worked the second time. But, I could not get the ord to o file to work. Any ideas what might be going on? How might I get the batch file to run correctly? Is there some kind of compatibility issue, or is there another program somewhere on here that would be better for making cyberfaces? I did some searching, and it seemed as though jogar's tutorial was the way to go. Thanks in advance for any help.
xiberger
Did you have ord2o.exe in that folder as well? And did you also change the filenames inside the batch file?
tribefanisu2003
Yes, I did both of those things. When the batch file didn't work on the default settings, I tried changing some of the compatibility settings as well, and none of that worked. So, I put it back to its default settings. Here's another thing I tried. I have the Network Selector .bat file on my desktop, and it works fine. So, I tried moving the ord to o.bat file, ord2o.exe file, the ord file, and the orl file to the desktop as well, and it didn't work. The Network Selector thing had hyphens instead of spaces (TV-Network-Selector.bat), and the ord to o.bat file did not, so I tried adding the hyphens in the spaces as well. None of it worked. I guess I'm a little confused as to why some of the bat files work fine, but others don't, even when all the settings seem to be the same, and the icon looks the same and all. And with the ones that don't work, they all have flashed a quick dos window, and then go away before I can even read what it's saying.
tribefanisu2003
Ok, I did some more searching and found a possible solution. I found a post from April or so where someone was having the same problem as me, and he found a post from 2005 that he said worked for him, so I guess I'll try that tonight when I get home and hope for the best!
