I like the concept of the program I've tried using but its kind of hard to find a single player out of 900 if you don't know his face ID, do you think you could make a search function in the program?

The set is missing around 400 faces that can be found here

you have 1266 total faces

you have 400 (of 504) EA default 1x faces

You have 60 in the wrong fsh format (GIMX)*

You have 1 in the wrong fsh format (G104)*

You have 10 that are too large*

you have 4 faces that are duplicates for the same player (0000a & 0000b)

you have 7 faces that are duplicates for different players (0000a & 1234a)

*the above problems can cause crashing

But most surprising is the fact that all you did was take Big Shmooz's models.big file, added 377 more and change the file names, and yes I can prove it

Big Shmooz's models.big files contain 2 of my faces and sure enough those two faces also show up in your models.big set. There is no other possible explanation besides you use Big Shmooz's models.big and added to it

Big Shmooz was asked if he gave you permission, his answer was NO

You are missing more faces (400) than what you added to Big Shmooz's work (377)

Individual faces modder have my permission to use my textures.

But you do not have permission to re-release anything that uses my textures, specially in a set where no one know who made what

plus you basically just stole Big Shmooz's work and renamed the files

1st you tired to steal UR and merge it with SS roster, the only way you got caught before you released it was because you sent a few betas out and people started asking questions about them in the forum. Once you admitted your roster was just UR + SS it took totte about a week to explain to you that he would not allow that. He even had to talk to the admins about it to make sure everyone understood what was going on.

2nd, your next "big" project you have stolen someones work again and changed it a round a little bit.

2-2 for have stolen others work and tired to pass it off as your own, you should not be allowed to ever release anything again

I'm not sure about any of the details that you posted, so I'll let kgbaseball respond to that.

This is what I asked kgbaseball to do:

1) Get permission to use the faces.

2) Download all faces that have been released and rename them and put them all into one folder.

3) Make a list of which faces are in the folder, and who made them.

In my opinion, if a face modder released a face that was based on one of your 2x faces (and had your permission), and then the face modder gave kgbaseball permission to include all of their faces, kgbaseball wouldn't need your permission.

I agree that kgbaseball should have identified who made each face, but as far as I know, big schmooz doesn't do this either.

maybe from now on, any faces created could have the author's name written just below the neck of the face texture, or between the eyeballs and the side of the neck. That way, when you view a face in this Models.big program, you can tell who made it.

I wouldn't see the problem of decompiling shmooz's models.big to get the same faces. Though since Kraw denied permission, Griffey and probably Larkin (don't know if it's there) should be removed.

Otherwise it's a bunch of files, the permission was obtained.

great program ty!I cant seem to get a picture of the faces-all I see is a small square for the players that do have faces. Thanks for your help.

It sounds like you don't have the fshtool.exe in the same folder as the program.

That's basically what I told kraw. Granted, Griffey is in the folder, but that can be fixed easily, and I apologized for having him in there. I did not include anyone who has retired or is no longer in the MLB, so that's why not all of EAs original faces are in it. I, too, don't see how taking faces from shmooz's models is a problem. Many of the faces found in there are not available for download on the site. I had permission from everyone to use whatever faces they've made, regardless if they were found on this site or where ever.

Now, if there is something in shmooz's models where face files were altered from their original form, I admit that I do not have or shouldn't have permission to use any of those. If that's the case, I wouldn't even know how to go about checking for altered faces. Therefore, I am not aware of any changes that have been made, so if someone wants me to redo this whole thing, I will not back away.

Please understand that it is and never has been my mission to pass others work as my own. I consider it wrong in every way and I never knowingly steal other's work. I am just trying to help this community.

Another idea is to include a text file with each face.

Example: 0004a.txt

Bobby Abreu cyberface - Created by Jogar84, thanks to krawhitham for letting me use his 2x face as a base.

That was just an example. I don't know if that is jogar's version or not, or if it is 2x.

My program could then read the file and show what it says when it shows the face.

Well, I do see that as a problem, if you didn't get permission from BS to decompile his "work" that's just not on. no matter what the source of his original files.

And on the first page of this thread you did answer 'yes' to the question

"did you really download faces from each modder and then rename the fsh, ord, & orl files?"

Please understand that it is and never has been my mission to pass others work as my own. I consider it wrong in every way and I never knowingly steal other's work. I am just trying to help this community.

I understand and believe what you're saying, however Totte & kraw may have some evidence to disprove that...

Anyway, away from this topic, you might as well include cyberfaces of retired players, since this whole thing is about giving people the option of rolling up their own models.big file to their own specifications.

Don't give me this "don't see how taking faces from shmooz's models is a problem" ****, if you had truly believed that you would not have lied when I asked you about it in the 1st place

Big Shmooz took the time to download all 1601 faces on this site, he then sorted through every single faces and picked (in his opinion) the best 622 (278 are still EA's) and added them to HIS models.big file. It has taken him over a year to fine tune what faces he wants in his file because he only wants the best. You then come along and and use all his hard work without permission.

I like your answer,

Yeah. I also took every face from the CD, renamed it, and put them in.
. you backed up one lie with another, every single face for be 504 not 400

Alright, if you want me to be 100% honest, I took every face from the CD that,

a. wasn't retired

b. wasn't already included in the folder (I did the CD models.big last)

c. wasn't worthy of being included

Care to explain how the files are "his"? We both have the exact same permission to use people's cyberfaces. And as far as I know, they're owned by the people who made them. And like I said earlier, as long as he, you, my aunt Carrie, or George Bush didn't make any adjustments to them, I see no problem using them. If shmooz or you actually did mess around the the .fsh, .ord, or .orl files, let me know and I will gladly fix this problem.
