D-Unit
I just did a fantasy draft, and I was trading for Jeter (he was on the Red Sox, I swear to God it looked so wrong). I offered Hanley Ramirez and they accepted. Shows you how much sense this game makes...

GEOLINK
It's because Hanley gets paid what like 300,000 a year while Jeter gets 19.8 sum million.... Red Soxs win the trade because they get a high profile, low priced player.
D-Unit
in the words of Lil' Jon...WHAT!? Basically, Derek Jeter > Hanley Ramirez. Bring it on, anti-Yankee fans...
xiberger
Bring it on, anti-Yankee fans... Aren't there already enough fights about that on this forum? How about some love for a change? :pals:
D-Unit
I'm not asking for it, I'm just expecting it because it's always there, like you said.
seanzarelli
You crack me up D-Unit, I said that because of the Sox trading away Jeter. Jeter is one of the few Yanks that I actually like because he knows how to play the game.

HardcoreLegend
If I was setting up a dynasty, I'd take Hanley over Jeter. Hanley has speed and a lower paycheck with decent defense. If need be, you could probably convert him to a CF or atleast a corner OF. Jeter eats up a lot of money.

Hory
is it me or does every little comment always get to Yankee fans. It's not all of them, just the obnoxious children that remember nothing about the team before 1996.

Guest
Alright, someone has to agree with me now. Surely it wouldn't be you if you don't fit the descriptions?
D-Unit
Let's see. I am aware of what happened before 1996, seeing as how my favorite player, Don Mattingly, never played past 1995. I know a ton of Yankee history, I read up on them all the time and watch movies and Yankeeograhpies. I don't see how Hory could be questioning my knowledge as a Yankee fan, I don't question his knowledge of the Cubs or calling him a "bad fan." btw, the Cubs overpaid for Soriano but his offense will give you guys a big boost. abc006
yeah, only because it was pitiful before - even if Soriano does only bat .260 with 20 HRs and 10 steals, it would be better than before. not trying to insult anybody with that, btw. Hory
It's was not a comment your knowledge, it was a comment about your childish lack of any humility whatsoever about the team you have chosen to support. Reminds me so much of Bulls fans in the 90s.
D-Unit
Lack of humility? I have been modest about my team. I acknowledge that the Yankees' pitching has blown ever since their last World Series ring. I accept that we didn't deserve to beat the Tigers because we were beaten by the better team. I even said it in the Yankee thread, the place where you normally come in to insult me. I admit, sometimes I do sound bias, but don't tell me you have never had a biased opinion on something, no one is perfect.

D-Unit
abc, what you said about the Royals and D-Rays doesn't make sense. btw, this was just supposed to be about MVP and once again, it turned into Hory lashing out another insult at me. And don't use the "Oh, please, don't be childish and stop complaining, I didn't say anything like that" like you do with every other time, you called me childish and said I lacked humility of the team I support. I don't continuously trash the Cubs, so why must you trash the Yankees?
abc006
Keep the Royals out of this.no, i didn't mean it like that - it was strictly in a bad comedic sense. bad joke. not meaning to start anything.
