lfgnyc
I've been playing MVP since 2004, and I'm usually good with installing mods manually, but so many mods these days are asking for use of MVPEdit, which I've just downloaded and am having trouble with. I can't seem to view a saved roster or open anything at all with it. I know that I'm pretty green with this, so any help would be appreciated. GEOLINK
explain your problem specifically
tebjr
You need to import the .dat files from the game. Go to: File>Import>DAT Files>database. Then give the file a name. And click OK.
lfgnyc
The most basic problem is that I can't view or import a roster from the MyDocuments/MVP folder; I see the files in Windows Explorer, but MVPEdit doesn't see anything. What goes on here?
lfgnyc
Tebjr, that worked, thanks. I'll experiment with it and continue with any questions in this thread.

lfgnyc
Thanks for the link, but it's unclear how to get my own edited roster into MVPEdit. It's bringing up the default roster, which I don't want to work with. How do I get mine?
lfgnyc
It's a .sav file, BTW.
lfgnyc
Anybody? I've just done quite an in game overhaul of the rosters, and I don't want to have to start all over again.
tebjr
Please don't bump. You can't open a . sav file in MVPedit. I think the only way to do that would be tywiggins .dat importer/exporter. He has a thread for that.
lfgnyc
I don't know what that is, or how to find and use it. Surely people use their own rosters in MVPEdit. There's got to be a way to import them.
