TwentySeven
This is a Yankees fantasy draft dynasty set as an alternate reality. I kept the Japanese players realistic, however, but anyways, its just '07 in some other world I guess. I am using a slightly modded version of the latest UR - I added Kei Igawa, Akinori Iwamura, and Hideki Okajima. I am fairly certain that their rankings are fairly accurate, but who knows. In case you are wondering, Okajima and Igawa are both lefties with fairly good curves, and they both hit low 90's - mid 80's. Iwamura is a good fielder, and he has good power from both left and right, however he is somewhat of a free swinger and his numbers vs. LHP aren't going to be that good. I am trying to keep this as accurate as possible, so for example, I will post the MVP, Cy Young, all that stuff the way it would be posted in real life. I will be posting on DynastyManager just because its simpler, plus it gives me the freedom of HTML. I am about to get to game 1 of the season. http://www.dynastymanager.com/dm360.cgi?u=27_NYY&s=mlb I don't have the box score extractor, but I know HTML well enough that I should be able to make and post my own box scores . Plus, Adobe Dreamweaver always helps. I won't be able to play a game a day due to school and various other reasons, but I will try to keep up with regular updates. Anyways, thoughts? Suggestions? I'm cool with you telling me what you think! Anyways... Thoughts?
TwentySeven
OK guys, I just have a few questions I'm wondering if you could help me out on. 1. How should I change a pitcher's stats if I want to convert them to a reliever or to a starter? How much should their pitches change? How much should their stamina change? How long should I send them to AAA for? What about vice versa? 2. How should I run my team so that I have a fairly decent 40-man roster? What I'm thinking of doing is making a 40-man similiar to real life, and most of my call-ups will be from that roster. 15 day disabled list remains on the 40 man, but 60 day is taken off, all that good stuff. The tricky part is when September comes around and the rosters expand. What I am thinking of doing is sending all my starters down to AAA expect the one that is starting that game. In those roster spots, I can put in just players I will use in the game so that I can have more relievers and backup position players on my roster. What do you guys think? abc006
1. To move a starter to relief, I usually lower their stamina from say 75 to 55, from 85 to 60-65. I know that if they were a starter before, they probably have better stamina than a life-long reliever. I usually don't take off pitches, but then i never really thought about it much - i suggest taking off low-quality second breaking pitches (meaning if they're curve is good, but slider is just average and they don't use it alot, take out the slider). also, you may want to take out a 2-seamer or a fork or palm, if they have 4-semer, split, or change, repsectively - or vise versa. 2. you could conceivably man a 40 person roster, but it would probably require a lot of call-ups and call-downs (is that used?) pretty often, and it would need a lot of work. my suggestion is to write on a piece of paper the minor leaguers that aren't on your 25-man ML roster, and then just use that for reference or something. you decide. :)

No, I actually meant that general, relievers have slightly better 'stuff', like the pitch speed is a little bit up, and the movement might change a bit. This is because relievers often have a mentality that they won't be throwing lots of pitches, so they should throw harder. However, the stamina does help :)

TwentySeven
Good news, I got the first game posted. http://www.dynastymanager.com/news.cgi?u=2...recap&id=116628 Also, the box score looks pretty good to me, if you want to check it out: http://twentyseven.a-host.info/games/4-2-07.html I made it without any pre-created software or anything. I did take much of the formatting details from the box-score creator that already exists, but I made the rest myself, and there are major differences. BTW: 400 posts =D
