speels Posted August 3, 2004 Share Posted August 3, 2004 Hey cubbiefan, most of relief pitchers actually do start in the stretch position. They are usually short time pitchers so they can use their arms more than the starters who have to use their legs if they are going to throw 100+ pitches.
