Jackal5150
Hi. Not sure if anyone can help me with this or whether there is an answer but I play on All Star mode and have pretty decent sliders I think because the games are realistic to a certain point. However, whenever I get a lead in the game {especially a big one} the computer cheats and it is so obvious that it pretty much ruins the game for me. When I say cheat, i mean that the hitters on the other team go into God mode and there is absolutley no way to get them out. They will keep hitting my pitchers until they get the lead. Every single game in which I have a lead is like this. It is ridiculous. Ive tried just about everything i can think of and I am getting pretty fed up with it. I don't want to play in Pro level because I found that way too easy to hit. I know a lot of you play All Star so there has to be a way to eliminate this problem. I don't mind that the computer comes back sometimes but not every single firggen game. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

macbdog
I've noticed that it all depends on how you have pitched to them previously. Are you throwing all strikes? Are you moving the ball up and down? I find most of my problems happen with the computer roaring back when I stop mixing up the zone properly. Also, note what they are hitting- are they smoking the guy's fastball or offspeed stuff? I have noticed, too, that the computer will sit on a pitch and if they are smoking your offspeed stuff- go back to fastballs for strike one and two.... MagicHands8686
Actually, this is my favorite part of this game. If you pay attention on the harder difficulties the computer is actually learning how you’re approaching the hitters and adjusting over the course of the game. For instance, if you’ve been throwing all strikes during the beginning of the game the hitters will get a lot more aggressive later on. You can use this to your advantage by changing your approach in the later part of the game, e.g. throwing more balls now that they're more inclined to chase. Jackal5150
Yes I do notice that the computer adjust to how I pitch them. I don't have a problem with that and I like that actually. However, changing how I pitch to them seems to make no difference once they go into "comeback mode" which happens every game i get a lead. It is getting to the point to where I just want to sim the 8th and 9th innings...lol I noticed that most of EA sports games have this comeback "feature." Some games are more subtile about it than others and it also depends on what difficulty setting you are playing on but I find MVP Baseball's version to be ridiculously overdone. It is lazy progarmming. High Heat handled this so much better and I really miss that from that series. {Along with a superior stat interface.} MVP is a great game too but until i figure this problem out, it is going to be hard to take this game seriously. Maybe I am just a bad player though....grrrrrr. Anyway, thanks for the suggestions and input. I will try to pitch to the computer a bit differently in the later innings but I felt ive already been doing that. Hopefully, I can figure it out. Thanks.
