theshadeofice
Orlando Cabrera. If he had continued to play at Fenway Park, he would be appreaciated as one of the best shortstops in the American League.

AstroEric
Albert Pujols. Sure we all think he's a great baseball player. But what we underestimate is that if he wanted to, he could use his x-ray laser vision and his Kryptonian super strength to slaughter us all like dogs in the street. FLiriano
Michael Young is overrated because too many people thought he was underrated. Brad Hawpe, he's a solid hitting lefty with the best right field arm in the NL.

Myztery
Hafner....Baldelli is underrated, but Hafner is one of the best offensive players in the game, and very few people give him much credit...
D-Unit
Derek Jeter's defense. Just his defense. Alex Rodriguez is now officially underrated, every non-Yankee fan except for some hates him and thinks he can't hit.

fred13
The Blue Jays Everyone will say the the Red Sox screwed up by finishing 3rd, but no one will say the Blue Jays played well enough to finish 2nd. They won more games than the World Series champs for Christ's sake.

RaptorQuiz
Derek Jeter's defense. Just his defense. Maybe. Alex Rodriguez is now officially underrated, every non-Yankee fan except for some hates him and thinks he can't hit. Oh lord, I hope you're kidding. Actually, Rodriguez averaged 41.72 HR's per season over his career. I did 459/11. That's FULL seasons. Not his first 2 seasons (in which he hit just 5 homers, which would drop his avg to 35.7 HR's per season). EDIT: Just for comparison's sake, Albert Pujols is averaging 41.67 HR's per season over his first 6 seasons. (Pujols never had any "partial" seasons to skew the averaging). Over Rodriguez first FULL 6 seasons, he averaged 39.33 HR's, over his first six seasons (including partials), he averaged 24.67 HR's. So, while Pujols appears to be off to a "hotter start" than Rodriguez did, I do not understand those people can call Pujols "one of the greatest of all time" and not give Rodgriguez love when he is brought up in discussion. So there. Not EVERY non-Yankees fan hates him. lol.

And for Young he will have a bright future as long as you take his bat away when he's mad.
abc006
Michael Young is overrated because too many people thought he was underrated. Brad Hawpe, he's a solid hitting lefty with the best right field arm in the NL.exactly, just like garret anderson, for example. i'd say the most underrated is matt holliday. JP_Frost
this all depends on what people think is underrated. For me it means that a player who has put up SEVERAL good years, but doesn't get any recognition. Not a guy who had a great year last year, but didn't show anything before it. My pick is Hafner -- he has had 3 straight years of very good offense, and he's now officially one of the best if not the best hitter in the AL
