BRK123
First my compliments to who ever designed this program. I imported a roster, opened it, and was just looking at the different information on the various pages. For example, ARod has a contract value of 8383 for 6 years. Does that signify that he earns $8.383 million per year? In the game he earns $25.2 million. Is there a multiplier being used? On his hitting stats, he has a home run value vs. lefties of 12, righties of 6. What's does this mean, 12%, 6% of the time? Is there a site or a message somewhere that explains all of this? I searched around and did not find anything. Thanks, BRK
JP_Frost
if you want to change the salary click on the dollar symbol. You can that put in the amount and the length of the contract. If you've done that, click on the = symbol and it will calculate it back to the codes the game uses. I'm not sure how much effect the homerun thing has. I've changed it on a couple of players, but it's hard to determine how those values change a player's homerun rate. One thing that's very handy to know, is the values that mvpedit uses for the ratings: 15 = 99 14 = 95 13 = 90 12 = 85 11 = 80 10 = 75 9 = 70 8 = 65 7 = 60 6 = 55 5 = 50 4 = 40 3 = 30 2 = 20 1 = 10 so in the case of the homerun thing -- 12 against lefties means an 85 rating for homerun power against lefthanded pitchers. Again, not sure how much it will change the stats, but you can always try and find out. also the star power thing: Awesome = 5 stars lots = 4 stars average = 3 stars some = 2 stars none = 1 star hope that helps you a bit. kgbaseball
331 points in MVPEdit = $1 million, I believe.
JP_Frost
Kg, is that a value the game applies to all money things? the reason I'm asking is that in the resign file you can edit contract demands. I just wasn't really able to work out how the values within that file were calculated to dollars. Would be nice if I can figure that one out. kgbaseball
I'm not positive, but I think the game and MVPEdit use 2 different formulas for deciding salary.
