medric822
Well, try placing them on the trading block. I had players upset about their time, and they were hitting .340 and hittin 30+ homers! Sometimes, I fill my bench with a bunch of AA players just to bring up my team chemestry. It also dosn't hurt to play them here and there as well. Even if your team is way ahead or behind, throw your closer in the game for 4-5 outs if he has had a big vacation of more then three games. Most of my team is happy, if they are upset, its about their preformance, not their playing time. And when someone's unhappy about their pay, I give them a pay raise of. Campo09
Search the forums, i know that there are topics on this. Try giving them more money, make sure you dont have them on the trading block because that happened on accident to me. It doesnt matter if there happy or mad, i dont think it effects the way they play, but i could be wrong.
Davidc
If you're in the first year of a dynasty, don't worry too much about it. They're all playing on contracts that you didn't negotiate. As the years pass and you sign (and re-sign) your own players, things will pick up. A lot of them are just unhappy that they're playing in a role other than the one they were signed to play - that's relatively easy to fix (I had one guy who was the major league closer who was complaining about his playing time!) Just move them into that role. However, if you've got a player who's playing every day in the role he's supposed to be, it's just the coin. That won't change until contract time. This is usually a sure fire way to get them happy, or at least at a medicore level. Also, it makes sence that when a player wants to be traded, they play harder so that other teams notice them. Putting them on the trading block has brought around multiple players that dont seem happy.
compmaniac
How come my players are unhappy even if I pay them like $10 million a year, and they still complain about not playing enough? I start them almost every single day, for the entire game...what's wrong? (I'm like 7 games into my fourth season)
BigRog
where are they in the order. sometimes if they are last or bottom end they complain. also if they are a 3rd baseman for example who is on an everyday player contract he will complain also
carter
Please note that there are several threads in existence related to this topic. To find them, please do a search. I will however add one thing here. If you play a player almost every day but that particular player is signed to an indispensable or everyday contract, you run the risk of upsetting the player. Also, if a player signed to an indispensable or everyday contract gets injured there is a good chance that that player will remain upset for the rest of the season because of the games missed while on the DL. It doesn't necessarily make sense but that is the AI in the game.

Sorry if I sound arrogant, but am I not allowed to post in threads in which similar threads are present, because I didn't start the thread, and what's wrong with posting in this thread? Again, I'm not trying to be arrogant...just asking a question.

carter
Please note that the reason why we here at mvpmods do not like multiple threads about the same topic has nothing to do with bandwidth issues. We just like to keep things as organized as possible and it makes more sense to have one big topic about one issue rather than several smaller ones. For example, the issue of player happiness has been raised several times before. Rather than starting a post to find out more about it, one could simply do a search and locate the answer or solution to their issue. compmaniac, you have not done anything wrong and my comments are not directed at you. compmaniac
Thank you, carter...and by the way, is there anything wrong with the bandwidth? It seems that mvpmods.com always loads slowly for me, as with all the pages on the site. Is it the server, or something on my end?
