sully04
OK so tonight I decided to start messing around with portraits to see if I could switch teams around. I did Dmitri Young to the Twins first because it seemed like an easy place to start. Any Advice on what I could do better? http://s116.photobucket.com/albums/o2/sull...urrent=0000.jpg
kgbaseball
The only thing I see is that the hat may be a tad bit too dark. I'm actually wearing a Twins hat right now, and the hue is just a bit lighter and more blueish than that. Other than that, looks good. A screen of the portrait in game would help to make sure there's no white line around it.

kgbaseball
How do you make your alphas? There's a really easy and quick way to do it. krawhitham made a tutorial on EAmods.com if you want to check that out.
sully04
I usually use Magic wand and then i clean up around it with paint brush etc. Maybe I'll check out that tutorial. Thanks KG
kgbaseball
Well, you've got the beginning down. Magic wand, then Expand (Select Menu) 1-2 pixels, then Feather (also Select Menu) .5-.7 pixels. Most of the time you shouldn't have to use a paint brush to clean up after that. Also, I've got a video tutorial on the site somewhere that shows you how to do it with Photoshop. sully04
Alright I did it. I think it looks slightly better. Again thanks for everything. I like being able to do this stuff for myself. http://s116.photobucket.com/albums/o2/sull...=untitled-1.jpg http://s116.photobucket.com/albums/o2/sull...nt=untitled.jpg
kgbaseball
Still a bit of white around his hair, but not too bad.
GEOLINK
The Cutting of the alpha looks a bit sloppy. From my advice if you are using the portrait that came with MVP06 mod. Just edit the existing portrait and leave the alpha
