ralstonjack
Hi there I dloaded the New roster on here from the 2006 ones, i have the San Diego Padres roster through trades so it is set up to the 2007 current roster (looks like it). Everything is done and fine But when i load up the game, something goes wrong, i get past choosing uniform etc, then when it gets half way through laoding it stops, goes to a blank screen and says, sorri we need to close, we apolgise for any inconvience. Does anyone know what the problem could be and how do i fix it? Merry Christmas Jack

ralstonjack
Ultimate Rosters v8.0 Standard Edition (final) total portaits is also installed, nps with that i have just traded loads of players so that it is like the roster for the Padres as current for the 2007 season. Nps trading, just loading up the match and stops
rubbinyereyes
This has happened to me also. I've been working on getting the rosters completely up to date (they have transactions as of the 23rd of October, iirc). Done most of the moves required to replicate free agent signings, trades and the Rule 5 Draft, but now I get this run time error. It happens if I try to play a game, or if I try to edit players. MagicHands8686
Did you make the changes in mvpedit?
rubbinyereyes
No, I used the in-game editor. I wasn't even aware that a third-party editing tool existed. Have I done a bad thing?

rubbinyereyes
Thanks for the link. I downloaded a different roster set, which was more up to date. I made the necessary few changes in-game and I'm away in Dynasty Mode now .

rubbinyereyes
Gah. Thought I had beaten this, but apparently not. Editing players is no longer a problem, and I can start AA and A games. But the game still crashes on attempting to begin AAA or Major League games. For the record, this is what I have done: a) downloaded MVPEdit. downloaded the Epic roster set as linked to by MagicHands. c) extracted the roster set. d) made the few necessary changes with MPVEdit and exported the roster files. Can anyone tell me what I've done wrong? It would be greatly appreciated. I'm really anxious to start my Nationals dynasty, I can almost taste the losing streaks! rubbinyereyes
I did. It says that the Omaha Royals have incomplete NL lineups, but looking at their page, everything seems to be in order. Which is strange.
kgbaseball
Move the rotation around and that'll fix the Royals problem.
rubbinyereyes
OK, I have an update: I found out that you need to patch your game for the rosters to work. So I did that. The rosters now work in all exhibition games. I can also get a Dynasty Mode working, if I don't make any roster moves. However, if I sign anyone/make a trade/perform demotions or promotions etc and then try to start my first Dynasty game, MVP crashes. I really don't know why this would be. Any further help? Thanks to everyone who has provided assistance so far.
