ANGELS KNOT UP SERIES

BRAVES, CARDINALS, SENATORS WIN AA CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Angels went to Yankee Stadium and gave the Yankees an 11-4 pounding to send the ALCS to Game 7. They scored 9 of their runs in the 8th and 9th innings.

Senators end Yankees' dream: The Harrisburg Senators defeated the Trenton Thunder to win the AA Eastern League championship, ending the New York Yankees' hopes for themselves and all of their minor league teams to win championships in the same season. The AAA Columbus Clippers already won the Governor's Cup, and the Tampa Yankees, plus the Yankees themselves, are both still alive in their playoffs.

Miss. Braves win Southern League Championship: The Mississippi Braves beat the Montgomery Biscuits in 5 games, to win the AA Southern League championship.

Cards' Consolation Prize: While the St. Louis Cardinals were defeated by the Cincinnati Reds in the NLCS yesterday, today they got to see their AA affiliate, the Springfield Cardinals, capture the Texas League championship.

YANKEES WIN AL PENNANT

The New York Yankees snapped a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the 8th inning, propelling them to a 7-3 win over the Los Angeles Angels, the AL pennant and a World Series date with the Cincinnati Reds. The Yankees own home field advantage and will host Games 1 and 2.

Dunn to play, Griffey to sit

The Cincinnati Reds announced that Adam Dunn will be able to play in the World Series vs. the Yankees. Ken Griffey Jr, however, is not healed yet and will miss the series, although he will remain with the team. Chris Denorfia was added to the Reds' playoff roster and will join the team in New York for Game 1.

REDS CUT LOOSE CLAUSSEN

Today, the Reds declined to tender a contract to pitcher Brandon Claussen, making him a free agent. They were not committed to giving him a spot on the Major League roster, and were unwilling to pay him the $2 million per year he wanted. Also, the Reds non-tendered Brandon Watson, Josh Hall, William Bergolla, Mike Gosling, Matt Belisle and DeWayne Wise.

Also today, Javier Valentin and Chad Moeller both filed for free agency. In other free agent news, the Reds have made an offer to Gary Majewski to bring him back, and they also have made an offer to Angels pitcher Scot Shields.

I'm not going to do write-ups for every single game anymore, because it takes up too much time, and I no longer have a lot of time to spend on this. Any player news will still be written up, plus noteworthy events, and there will be some pictures posted. This will help me keep this dynasty going.
