highlight_reel
Is it possible that someone could make a mod that changes hot/cold zones within a season? Or is that hard coded into the game?
DustinTheWin
that can be edited with mvpedit
TwentySeven
that can be edited with mvpedit Or even with the in-game editor!
highlight_reel
No, my question is whether they can actually can change within the season. IE A player was a H C C C H N N H N but he's on a hot streak, so the game would change that to H H N C H N N H H
MagicHands8686
You already can change them within a season.
highlight_reel
You already can change them within a season. No.. you're not getting it. I don't want to change it myself within a season... I want the game to do it for me, like it changes the contact ratings. Sometimes, a player may be rated at a 60 contact, and if he goes on a hitting streak, his rating can go up to 70, or vice versa.
DustinTheWin
that's not gonna happen
krawhitham
no that is hard coded, it would be cool if players could get more hot zone for a while to simulate hot streaks. Well it could be done with an external program that examines TY's box scores and changes the hot/cold zone for players that are currently streaking. But that is beyond most of the people here. Maybe a hand full of members have the skills, and I'm not one of them
highlight_reel
That's alright man... but only if someone did have the skills............. does someone? Man, I wish I had the skills..................

Maybe a hand full of members have the skills, and I'm not one of them Something like if Player A had hit >.500 in his last 5 games, note the hot & cold zones as they are, change 1 or 2 existing cold or neutral zones to hot zones, and keep them like that until the player hits <.300 for 3 or 4 games in a row, then examine the original hot & cold zones and change them back to the originals? I've not used Ty's program, and it would be a lot of work, but I imagine it would be possible. Hmm.

Or if they are on a low streak... maybe some neutral and hot zones could be changed to cold.
highlight_reel
Bumping this up, because I want to see if it could be done. Sorry if I wasn't supposed to do this, I just thought that since it was so deep, I could do it. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Sorry if I wasn't supposed to do this, I just thought that since it was so deep, I could do it. Correct me if I'm wrong. Since ty's program alread edits hot/cold zones, he should just have to modify his program a little to compensate for this...this is easy coding... compmaniac
says the code master himself Nvm, I wasn't thinking clearly...it's hard coded... unless you run a program (like if ty updated his program to include this) after every game to look through box scores, I don't think this can happen... Also, kraw, sorry for saying "this is easy coding".
highlight_reel
I'm bumping this one up... like has been mentioned before, this'd be a very difficult mod, and to anyone who does this, they'd be incredible. But I'd LOVE to see this... and I think it'd really help people who want to play this game with drafted rookies. Top-level rookies in the draft typically have this as their hot/cold zones: C N N N H H C N C or variations of that. But I'd love to see a top-level rookie's zones finally get to the level of a Big Papi's! Thanks for reading... just please keep this as an idea.
