I am currently starting a new fantasy baseball league that rune year round. Complete with stats, standings, and play-off games. But the best part is your not the owner or the GM of a team, or even the manager, your the player!

The league name is Clubhouse Baseball League. After you create your player, you will be drafted by a team, and given a bonus depending on what round you were drafted in. Using this money and the money you earn from your contract, you can buy upgrades such as batting/pitching lessons, gym membership, an agent, and many more things that will be mentioned later.

This is 100% FREE!

At the moment there are only 16 teams, four teams per two divisions in each league.

Here's whats needed in order to have your character in the game:

Character name:

Birthday (year not needed):

Uniform #:

Bats: (L,R,or S)

Throws: R/L

Hitter/Pitcher

Drafted out of:

High School/College (young players can develope better, but older players hit prime sooner)

OK, this is the part that matters to your player the most. Each player is given 90 points

HITTERS ONLY (only use for Hitters)

Select position(s) to play:

Catcher (6 pts)

First Base (0 pts if only plays 1st, 1pt if play more then 1 position)

Second Base (4 pts)

Third Base (3 pts)

Shortstop (6 pts)

Outfield (2pts-aple to play all three positions, but my be better in one area then others)

Contact odds:

1-10 (#X5 pts)

Homerun odds:

1-10 (#X5 pts)

Batters Eye:

1-10 (#X4 pts.)

Gap Talent:

1-10 (#X2 pts) For doubles and triples

Fielding:

1-10 (#+1pt for each position you want to upgrade in)

Running Speed:

1-10 (#X pts)

Stealing Ability:

1-10 (#Xpts)

Hitting LHP:

1-10

Set at 5 for equal vs LHP/RHP. Can have pts subtracted for use in another catagory also to make batter better vs RHP, and worse VS LHP. Added pts make bater odds of hits vs LHP, and worse odd vs RHP. But for equal odds, leave this at 5.

Pitchers only!

Pitching Stuff:

1-10 (#X 5pts)

Control:

1-10 (#X 4pts)

Velocity

1-10 (#X 3pts)

Poise (confidance):

1-10 (#X3 pts)

Endurance:

1-10 (#X2 pts)

Defence:

1-10 (#X1 pt)

Hitting:

1-10 (#X1 pt)(advice- if you want to be a RP/CL, this will be useless.

Pitches thrown(Pitchers can learn new pitches mid-season, but will have to pay a fee for lessons):

Fastball:1 pt (must throw either a fastball or a knuckle ball)

Curve ball: 1 pt

Slider: 1 pt

Change Up: 1 pt

Splitter: 1 pt

Sinker 1 pt

Screwball: 1 pt

Knuckleball: 1 pt

Players in A Ball- $250 a week

Players in AA Ball- $350 a week

Players in AAA Ball- $500 a week.

Ok, well, here you go. Feel free to ask more questions.

Character name: Paul Quisenberry

Birthday: November 1st (1980 if life-realism, 1985 if game-realism)

Uniform #: 19

Bats: (L,R,or S) R

Throws: (R/L) R

Hitter/Pitcher: Hitter

Drafted out of: College

Select position(s) to play: Third Base (3 pts)

Contact odds: 7 (35 pts)

Homerun odds: 3 (15 pts)

Batters Eye: 4 (16 pts)

Gap Talent: 6 (12 pts)

Fielding: 7 (7 pts)

Running Speed: 1 (1 pts)

Stealing Ability: 1 (1 pts)

Hitting LHP: 5 (0 points added or subtracted)

TOTAL: 90 pts

SCOUTING: Excellent hitter to the gaps with developing power. Can effectively hit lefties and righties. Excellent defensively. Needs to continue to bulk up to develop power-swing. Needs to spend time learning more baserunning skill and to develop some speed (this is his major weakness).

...can you tell me if I did all this right? (I would've thought players drafted out of college would be given more points than high schoolers, but oh well)

I should have explained more, the hitting LHP catagory, if you leave it at equal odds against both, you dont loose the 5 pts. if you want him to be better against lefties then righties, then add1-5 (1 being slightly better vs LHP, 5 being he can only hit LHP. And Vica-verca if you want him to be good against RHP, then your player gets more points. IE:

Frank starts with 90 pts.

Hitting vs LHP: 0(meaning he cant hit lefties at all, but great vs RHP).

So, essentialy, he'll end up with 95 pts, insted of 90, because he'll gain points.

I hope that clears up things for you a bit, you have more pts coming to you.

This is a player I created in one of my dynasties, he has quickly become one of my favorite minor leaguers.

Character name: Alexis Rodriguez

Birthday: April 4, 1988

Uniform #: 17

Bats: Left

Throws: Right

Height: 6'4"

Weight: 130 Lb

Pitcher

High School graduate

Pitching Stuff:

7 (#X 5pts) = 35

Control:

3 (#X 4pts) = 12

Velocity

5 (#X 3pts) = 15

Poise (confidance):

5 (#X3 pts) = 15

Endurance:

3 (#X2 pts) = 6

Defence:

4 (#X1 pt) = 4

Hitting:

1 (#X1 pt) = 1

Pitches Thrown:

Fastball: 1 pt

Slider: 1

Total from pitches thrown = 2

Overall Total = 90

Scouting Report

Alexis Rodriguez is your typical high-risk high-reward pitching prospect. He has a smooth-as-silk delivery modeled after his idol, Pedro Martinez. Currently he throws a 89 mph fastball and a slider with very good movement at mid 80s. His control of those pitches is not great, but it could improve with the right mechanical fixing. If he bulks up to be more in the 160-200 range in pounds he could be throwing mid-90s fairly easily. As a high school pitcher, he has very little polish, but a good developemental staff could help him pick up another few pitches, such as a splitter, cutter, or change.

Because he is so skinny, he has poor endurance, but with some professional level workout and with extra pounds, he will likely be able to be a very consistent pitcher.

As a high school pitcher, not much is known about whether he is injury prone or not.

As I said, he is your typical high-risk high-reward pitcher. If everything goes right for him, he could be the next Roger Clemens or Pedro Martinez, but he could just as easily turn out to be some really poor career minor leaguer.

He would be willing to sign with several teams, but he is opposed to signing with teams such as the Angels, Devil Rays, and Red Sox. In addition, he hopes to sign with winning teams. Finally, his favorite team is the A's - he grew up in the Bay Area.

Did I do that right?

Yeah, I forgot to mention it before, but pitchers can learn new pitches in this league mid-season. But its much easier having them know them beforehand.

The way I figure, high school pitchers usually only know 1-2 pitches before they get drafted. Usually they dont throw curves for risk of hurting their arms. The mechanics on a high school change are pretty bad, so I figure fastball-slider is good to start off with. I plan on adding a circle change and a curveball later, and maybe a cutter, we'll see.

I dont think I did the Numbering right, But I'm better hitting lefties, than righties.

Might as well.................

Michael is a player who has recently picked up his game in the last two years. His spped has been improving rapidly since he entered Florida State, and is now expected to be drafted. He has never had much power, but he alwys finds a way to get on base, and make solid contact. He can track down almost anything in the field and would be a great asset to whatever team decides to choose him, mainly because he is also a utility player.

Ok, now I feel full of myself after writing that. :-D

I remember when I tried to do something similar to this afew months ago, but I got shot down quickly because I didn't explain it right, and it wasn't as organized as you have it. Looks like it's going to be good if we can get enough people.

But then you have this:

2 Leagues

2 Divisions per league

2 Teams per division

Unless we do this:

1 League

2 Divisions

4 Teams per division

And the playoffs end at the Pennent, insted of the World Seres. It's completely up to you guys.

This is a great idea, here goes.

Character name: David Fisher

Birthday: June 29, 1984

Uniform #: 6

Bats: S

Throws: R

Hitter

Drafted out of: College

Select position(s) to play: Catcher, First (7)

Contact odds: 6 (30)

Homerun odds: 2 (10)

Batters Eye: 5 (20)

Gap Talent: 6 (12)

Fielding: 10 (12)

Running Speed: 5 (5)

Stealing Ability: 1 (1)

12+

5+

1 = 90

Hitting LHP: 6

Scouting Report: David is a great defensive catcher and 1st baseman, but needs to work on his hitting. He has below average speed and horrible baserunning skills. He has almost no power, but has a fairly good eye and could develop into an above average contact hitter if given time. He tends to do slightly better against left handers than right handers.

I hope I did that right, let me know if I screwed it up

Character name: Carl Hunter

Birthday (year not needed): 7/11

Uniform #: 12

Bats: S

Throws: R

Hitter

Drafted out of:

High School

Select position(s) to play:

Second Base (4pts)

Outfield (2pts-aple to play all three positions, but my be better in one area then others)

Contact odds:

1-10 - 6 (30)

Homerun odds:

1-10 - 2 (10)

Batters Eye:

1-10 - 5 (20)

Gap Talent:

1-10 - 4 (8)

Fielding:

1-10 - 6 (6)

Running Speed:

1-10 - 7 (7)

Stealing Ability:

1-10 - 4 (4)

Hitting LHP:

1-10 - 4(-1)

I think I did this right - if so - TOTAL = 91 Points

Hunter is a versatile, speedy second baseman / outfielder with potential to become a solid leadoff hitter for any team. He hits a little better versus righties than lefties and with time could develop some power. He has an average glove, eye, and stealing abilities, all which could improve as with experience.
