Bartolo Colon (LAA) Out at least through April, still rehabbing a partial shoulder tear. (In an interview this morning, LAA owner Arte Moreno confirmed that Bart won't be ready for Opening Day.)

Juan Rivera (LAA) Fractured tibia, out through at least June.

Brandon Backe (HOU): Out for season (TJ)

Backe isn't a guaranteed out for season. Heard an interview with him on a local radio station last night and he's hoping to come back sometime after all-star brake, possibly.

I keep hearing that Matheny isn't coming back, that's why Molina got a long term deal. Koskie missed over two or three months with a concussion... I'm sure you remember that. ;)

Of course I may have a mental glitch, but I think they both had concussions.

I love Mike Matheny. His wife and him always come in to my work. Very nice people. Too bad everywhere the dude goes - he loses his job to a Molina.

lol, so true.

Yeah, Koskie had the same thing. "Post-Concussion Syndrome" is what they call it.

Jim Edmonds had PCS and he played in the late-season and post-season and won a WS and had the most RBI's on the team (in the playoffs). I refuse to believe that Jim Edmonds is "tougher" than Mike Matheny. lol :)

:lmao:

He's yet to lose his job to Jose Molina, and even a 25th man job to pitcher (and totally unrelated) Gabe Molina, but there's still time.

Nice to hear that Matheny is a nice guy, maybe he's a future Yankee backup. Hey, I can dream.

Despite that, the most glaring memory of Edmonds in 2006 is when he wore a jacket under his jersey.
