Hey guys what is the best roster update out right now? And is Ultimate Rosters still going to be updated because thats is the one that i used to use but they havent been updated.

The best update at this point is probably KG's 2.0 Beta.

The UR-series is definitely going to get updated as I'm working hard on the rosters every day to make them as accurate as possible. I'll get crackin on the stats part too in a week or two.

Just as an aside, it's pretty cool that this question can be asked. Who would have thought there would be three MVP 2005 rosters in 2007?

However, if you are looking for a standard version, the latest version is Epic III from December 18th. I'll release an update once Cashman sends RJ's carcass to Arizona.

i don't like the fact that the epic rosters doesn't have the minors done. if you want exhibition games, you could use epic. if you want dynasty, i'd go with kgbaseball's.

What's the pros and cons of each? Like, what does one have that the other doesn't have (besides minors)

I'd say that they're the same as KG based his work on SS's roster to start with

KG's are pretty much the same but he didn't change hit charts, hit/miss/chase, hot and cold zones, and other little things. Relievers are also rated high enough to stay on 25 man rosters. Also, I continue tinkering with my ratings though KG has made some variations with his ratings himself.

However, KG has career stats and 2006 season stats for big leaguers and minor leaguers.

Simply, my roster is geared for single-season major league play, KG's roster is suitable if you want a dynasty with minor leaguers. KG has all the minor leaguers while I only have minor leaguers who have played ML games or are on 40 man rosters.

Hey Swinging Soriano,

I have your latest rosters and they are alot of fun to play with. Thanks for all your efforts.

I have noticed that the player stats are either missing or inaccurate. I would like to have the most recent stat info for last year as well as team records. How would I be able to add that to your rosters?

hehe...That would be excellent, indeed ;)

Not seeing the parallel to the Unit trade. The Dbacks only dealt lower tier prospects in the deal. I don't think there is any chance of them dealing their better ones.

Not sure why this would be awesome either.

it all depends on wat you want

Totte's Rosters have suggestions made by the people. He has minors and majors. Formulas for ratings are done by kraw except for pitching which is tottes best judgement.

KG's are base off of Swinging Sorianos Formulas (i believe). He has majors and minors. personally i think his minors are more indepth than totte's and i enjoy the ratings system

SwingingSorianos Rosters are the best if you want to play games with the mlb teams and not devulge into dynasty games due to the fact of lack of minor league players.

Personally I love Tottes. Im only starting to use KG's now. Both are excellent Rosters. I have Downloaded Swinging Sorianos Rosters and enjoyed them too but the lack of minors is a detract for me.

my suggestion is to Download all three and try them for yourself. I believe Totte's Rosters are the one included in the MLB 06 but im not sure if they will be in 07

If im missing something anyone feel free to add

anyways compmaniac

its all up to you now

I have not updated career stats or season stats. Last year I did update career stats but after I finsihed the Lahman database and a new MVPedit came out, resulting in a lot of wasted time. Also, since other roster seem to be more suitable for dynasties, I have less of a need to update those stats. At this point, if you are into exhibitions or single-season dynasties Epic will do the trick.
