i play with mvp level with user steal delay at like -50

Aha....the "steal delay"....Now maybe I'll find out the what it is meant to do... :?

I understand the meaning and impact on all sliders except the "steal delay" slider.

I set the number at -50 as well as +50 but don't notice much difference when I attempt to steal.

Would appreciate an explanation as to what the "steal delay"slider does.

I toyed with All-Star in my last season but I couldn't get to .500 so I went back to Pro...the problem is I need to be somewhere between Pro and All-Star...I won 42 of my last 45 regular season games on Pro, though I didn't win the WS, I lost in Game 7 to the D'backs....

So, I started the next season on All-Star and I'm not turning back. I've been tweaking the contact sliders over the last 4 games and I'm getting close...still 14-17 over all, but I've won 3 of my last 4.

I started with the contact slider at +50 for me and -50 for the CPU, and I'm now down to +25 and -25. I lost my last game 4-2, so that's not too bad.

All-star works great for me. I win some, I lose some. I still do win more than my team probably should, but I'm resigned to the point where that will always happen, just because I'm controlling it and not the computer. I'm still trying to get user contact and power to the right levels. I have the computer almost exactly where I feel its accurate, but I still hit too many homeruns, so I'm still doing a lot of adjusting, but besides that everything seems just how it should be.

it gives the base runner a pretty good head start...in my opinion it's no different then the runner getting a good jump..so i feel that i am not cheating...

that's the only slider you need to adjust to be able to steal base's.
