kingspie
I have download all of the patches with no problems. However, once I try to install them (i.e. for mvp 2006) (which rocks...GREAT JOB!) it gives me an error message saying that ...old file not found. However, file of same name was found. Update not downloaded (or something similar) Has anyone had this issue, too? MVP 2006 works great BUT the batting mini game crashes...everything else seems to work great. Please help?!! :alright: :alright:
Thome25
Patch 5 isnt a fix for the batting mini game crash and nor is it the cause of it. If you search forums for "Shane Reynolds" you will find your fix for the mini game. I beleive you have to add him or something but I forget exactly how. compmaniac
You might not have the original MVP2005.exe file. For example, if you used a crack, such as from here: http://m0003.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_mv...ball_2005.shtml, you might have a problem. medric822
What, dosn't anyone ask the master of this problem anymore? Here's your answer, and its official: go into the program files for MVP 2K5 go to the data folder, and move the stadiums folder, the models big, and the profile big to a safe place, preferabily the desktop. Then delete the entire MVP folder from the hard drive, including the recycle bin. Then re-download the game. place these saved files back into the game files, and your set to go! kingspie
The MVP 2005 file that I have is downloaded from the cd itself. I have never had any problems with it except on the MVP 2006 file. I will look up the Shane Reynolds file fix. Thanks guys.
kingspie
I should have asked...what are the particular fixes involved with the patches. Also, how do you normally use them and why? I have not had any problems but like I said I have not been able to do anything with them after extracting them either. thanks
kingspie
Thanks Medric. What causes that? It kills me not to understand this stuff. Thanks for the tip.
medric822
Your welcome. I take it that it worked?
kingspie
Honestly...I already started the Shane Reynolds fix which worked. However with all of the looking back and forth at the numbers, commas and spaces it would have been easier on the eyes to do it your way:) Thanks a ton I appreciate your input. dawgpatch
Delete the whole MVP folder? If I did that I will loose all fo my updated stuff (portraits, stadiums, ect...) Could I just put the files back in after new install? Thanks for the Info...
medric822
Well, thats why I said to back up the files like stadiums, models.big, and the profile.
