2007 Schedule

I just tried it again and it worked. Does it have something to do with the game being on while I am making the changes? The game was on and I had problems, but when the game was off, everything was fine.

I changed my schedule and it seems to work ok. I tend to mix it up, playing a different team everyday for a portion of the schedule. Make sure all of the spellings of the abbreviated teams is correct along with the punctuation. Make sure the game times are not in conflict and the gamedays are correct. Rename the original schedule, aschedule.big, for example, so that if it crashes you can unrename the original and continue playing. Hope that helps.

Here what I was doing:

I was opening the first season with notepad.

Then i would copy and paste everything into WordPerfect.

After I would be done making the changes in WordPerfect, I would paste back in notepad and import it using eagraph.

Is this the reason why the game crashes when I look at the days games that I changed?

Do you mean import?

I just import it into eagraph.

I do not know how compress it.

No, you have to compress the file before you import it into schedule.big. Try using BigGUI to compress the .DAT file before you import using EAGraph.

I am not sure as to what other programs are available to compress .DAT files. Some people have warned against using BigGUI. Big Shmooz has stated that the .big files get corrupted over time (but thats is specifically towards models.big file).

Anyway, use BigGUI to compress the file, then import using EAGraph and see if it still crashes. As always, backup the file.

1. Copy schedule.big

2. then rename the original; e.g. 1schedule.big in the dat folder where u took the original from

3. paste schedule.big to folder where big gui is

4. open in big gui

4. decompress mlb 162

5. export decompressed mlb162 to folder where big gui is

6. now you can go in and change your schedule, in notebook

7. when done making changes import back into the open big gui

8. compress mlb 162

9. now go to folder where big gui is and find the schedule.big . it will now have the changed schedule which you now copy back to the original dat folder that you originally started from, There you should have your changed schedule.

hope this helps, and hope I didn't leave anything out.

The second half of the file is all commas...what are they for?
