Does anyone know how players like Bonds and Millar will be implemented into the game?

In the link to the videos BrooklynNets posted, there is a guy whose last name is Young in leftfield, batting cleanup for the Giants. So, I guess they're just going to use the fake people.

I really dont care about the fake names i mean if you can edit the players just make Bonds black and name him Barry bonds and same for Millar now if you cant edit him then it will be pretty wierd even though i dont care because even in MVP i have yet to go against the Giants anyway

I for one will be glad when March 5th comes bc im tired of playing this unreal MVP baseball. This has to be the most cheating game I have ever played. The datafiles have been altered so much and the CPU juiced up its stupid. The cpu does what it wants at will. It seems like my hitters struggle to get the bat on the ball and everytime they hit it it goes directly to a fielder. Than I love when Im down they always give me the two out hits when I need like to or three runs. The cpu bloops hits everywhere. MVP's days are fading fast for me b/c its just not fun anymore.

Back to the discussion. Gametrailers has some footage with Brinkman discussing next gen and what it means to 2K....dude looks like a lumberjack no lie

The video is a hit tracker i guess it shows you all the hit you made all season or something

Did the fans go for that homerun ball? Did I see that correctly?
There so many little things in this game that i never notice most likly fans tried to get the Homerun ball i know when you hit a foul ball if it rolls near the fans sometimes they go over and try to grab it

small details often mean that the game will be good ... I just hope this isn't similar to EA and the create-a-fan gimmick ... they aren't hyping it, so I hope it's just part of greater improvement of the game itslef ... March can't come soon enough, I am really looking forward to this being my baseball game (keeping fingers crossed)

btw, anybody seen any articles mentioning how the stats engine works and how the franchise mode is (i.e. how good end of year stats are)? this one is KEY for me

In regards to the video clips of PS3 vs 360, I have noticed that too. Huge difference. There have been rumors over the last year or so that many programmers have been unhappy with the PS3. My co worker recently told me that he read one of the main programmers from Valve (Half Life series etc) came out and said that the PS3 should be a "do over". I'll try to get a link but there does seem to be some merit to this.

Yeah I've heard the same thing, but that's mostly because of the lack of 3rd party support the original Xbox received. They went out and asked the developers what they wanted in the new system and they did it. The PS3 on the otherhand went about it the other way, "we created it, now you develop for it." So as opposed to developers getting what they wanted and knowing what to expect for the most part, they have to 'learn' how to use PS3.

This isn't necessarily bad it just will take a couple generations of game to figure it out. Look at the Xbox, it was at the end of it's life cycle before games started to really make us of all that power under the hood.

As for the point of this topic, yes this game look amazing but I find myself saying that about every 2k baseball game only to feel overwhelmingly disappointed.

Man PC or not I keep seeing these game trailors and interviews with gameplay and the more and more I being convinced that this will be the best baseball game ever for PC or console. Even better than MVP. MVP with all the mods doesn't even have that much fine detail.

I hate the fact that companies decided not to make games for the PC! Don't a lot of people game on the PC?!?!?!?

It's so easy to pirate something for the PC that it proves costly to many companies to release games that are exclusively, or not for the PC.
