compmaniac
I've released a balanced schedule generator! Each team will play all the other 29 teams at least 5 times, home and away. (I know that you'll have lots of complaints, but do realize that I worked hard on it, and I'll be willing to take some suggestions and go to work on them) Remember that this is only release 0.1 Beta, because I know there may be issues with it... Please, if you have suggestions, post them here.
BigRog
why did u create another thread for this?
RaptorQuiz
Exciting news dude. For anyone that wasn't following his development thread - this guy started from scratch, and pretty much had to learn on the fly as he went about almost every concept/skill he needed. I am confident he will fix any issues you have (please present them calmly ) - because he has shown an amazing desire to learn and contribute. Congrats on your first big release, compmaniac! RaptorQuiz
why did u create another thread for this? It's the release thread - not the development thread.
compmaniac
why did u create another thread for this? Aren't I allowed to create a thread if I have a mod to announce? My other thread was for answering a request... ... Correct me if I'm wrong in believing that I am allowed to post a thread for announcements. Congrats on your first big release, compmaniac! Thanks! compmaniac
I just downloaded it and anything changed, I dont know why What do you mean? After you run the program, a file called mlb162_1.dat will be generated...you have to compress that file and import it into your schedule.big file manually... (I'll be working on an automatic installer soon, but for now, you have to do it manually.)
HFLR
Oh thanks, but comp you need to mention that on the read me. BTW Gratz on ur first mod comp!
krawhitham
I don't get it, does it always generate 100% the same schedule each time it is ran? I have ran it 5 times and get the same schedule each time
SwinginSoriano
Can you create a non-interleague balanced schedule? You know, like the old days? If you do, I'll be very impressed. (You have shown that you have the ability.)
Dagger147
Excellent job! It's refreshing to see someone who has an idea and sticks with it no matter what obstacles are thrown in his/her way. Most people probably would've given up on this a long time ago. You'll go a long way in this world with your attitude, initiative and desire to learn. Thanks for all of the hard work you've done. (I told everybody that this is beta 0.1 ... with lots of room for improvement) Don't the team names get changed though?

(You have shown that you have the ability.) What do you mean? Like AL teams play only AL teams, and NL teams only play NL teams? Just for the record, kraw is a much better programmer (along with tywiggins) than I am...I think they're just letting me make something for myself to learn... compmaniac
TC read my review it would be very helpful. Thanks, and also, don't you already play in different parks (there's alternating groups of 3 home, 3 away, or 3 home, 2 away...) But regarding your comment about the fact that 5/6-game series are too long, I'm fixing that...I just need some time.

compmaniac
Exactly. I'll work on that (non-interleague balanced schedule), as well as making it so you don't play the same team 5 in a row... When I coded it, I think it was supposed to be three games in a row, and then two games in a row later in the season, but I must've screwed up somewhere... Thanks for the suggestions! pgd44
Compmaniac I must say, Great Job on this so far !!! I have been plugging away manually, getting nowhere, and you put this generator together in less than 2 weeks. I am impressed with the beta, I can only imagine what you are capable of. I knew the way I was doing it wasn't the answer, Thank you so much for what you have done. I am a novice when it comes to editing, I truely appreciate all you have done. Thanks Again, PGD44

compmaniac
MD5 on all 5 are the same Really? When I have time, I'll check... ...because in the program, I told it to randomize the order of the 30 teams... Compmaniac I must say, Great Job on this so far !!! compmaniac
I think after I'm done with all this, I might make a schedule reader or something...although I'm not sure if there would be any purpose to it...would there?
