compmaniac
Good idea, I can help outline the exact steps that need to be taken to convert them. Would that really be useful? Do lots of people need to convert OOTP schedules? If so, I'll work on it, after I improve on my schedule generator first. And if I do make the convertor from OOTP to MVP, I think I'll need a little help understanding the file...I don't get how it's grouped. And also, since lots of the OOTP seasons are less than 162 games, will it work? Also, there's no All-Star game in some of them. Would converting it to MVP crash MVP? PirateFan13
Hey guys... I am in my second year of my dynansty, at my first game (which keeps crashing), will I be able to use this schedule converter? As soon as I figure out how to proced into my second year I would love to play all of the teams. PirateFan13

PirateFan13 Anyway, Piratefan, I don't think you would want this version of the schedule generator...if you can...I think you should wait a week or two more, because I might be making the schedule better. For example, right now, there are 5-6 game series, and then you don't play that team for the rest of the season... ...I'll be working on making them 2 or 3-game series, balanced throughout the season. PirateFan13
Ok comp, I will wait, but the idea is great, the Pirates are my team so I am getting sick of the Cubs, Brewers, Cards, Reds, Astros... Thanks for this. PirateFan13

compmaniac
Can somebody tell me how the OOTP schedule files are organized? I don't quite understand it...also, since there's no All-Star games in some of them, would I have to add them? Also, there's less than 162 games in some of them...would that be OK? (Would the game crash?)
jhath
i know it can be done because ty released a 50 game season or something... so its possible, altho i dont know what all changes have to be made for it to work.
compmaniac
MD5 on all 5 are the same I just fixed it :balloons: (the fact that it wasn't randomized) And when I make it so you don't play 5-game series, I'll upload 0.2 beta
stecropper
compmaniac, Hory would be the best to answer some of your questions regarding schedules that work. But from what I remember from speaking with Hory earlier about that .... this is what I think: 1) There has to be at least 1 game that starts on that first day of the season --- can't remember the exact date but I think it is the 3rd. 2) Each team has to have 162 games on their schedule to have the Playoffs work properly. 3) The All Star game has to be on the same date as it is in the current schedule. Probably other requirements which I have forgotten but hopefully Hory will read this and provide his insight or please feel free to PM Hory directly. He actaully has done all of the schedules that I know of for all the Classic Season Mods and he also does it against the OOTP files from what I recall. So to automate this process would be a really BIG Acheivement. Even if you can only automate those that already have a 162 game schedule which would be every season since 1962. You don't have to have 162 games, I think. I think you can use ty's short season projector or something Also, I'm a little confused on reading the OOTP schedules. I might need some translating help. compmaniac
In a few minutes, I'll be uploading 0.2 beta... here are the three new features in 0.2 beta... 1. The teams are actually randomized (my 0.1 beta wasn't randomized) 2. 5-game series and 6-game series have been switched to 3-game series and 2-game series. 3. Whether games are home or away have been randomized. Enjoy!
compmaniac
...Just uploaded! And also, I'll still work on the non-interleague option as requested by Geolink and kgbaseball

I gonna download it and try it out. Great effort!!! Thanks, any suggestions? I'll be adding to this list: 1. Create installer (although it will only work for people who install to the default directory of C:Program FilesEA SPORTSMVP Baseball 2005 2. Make non-interleague version/option. ------------------ Also, could anybody tell me what you usually use to compress the .dat file and import it into schedule.big? (I'm planning on using fifafs, though I wish it had a silent option") The installer I'm making will work no matter what your install directory is, because it will read the registry for the install dir! compmaniac
I've used either big gui or eagraph. OK. I'll be using fifaFS for an automatic installer for this program... ...it'll know your installation directory no matter where you installed it to because it will read the registry... Any suggestions?
