30 year rule

I have played/simmed my team out until 2035 or so in owner mode (I dont know it this is the same in franchise mode). After you hit 30 years on your team, it says "you have blah blah for 30 years and shows you your overall team stats for those years." Ive noticed the game follows pretty closely for about 10 years with the real players, gets really out of sync for about 10 years after that with its created players, then starts to flow again with teams starting to come up, decline, etc.. during the 3rd decade.

Does anyone know if or how to force the game to continue beyond 30 years?

Thanks for the replies. In owner mode, I got up to 2.1 billion dollars after 30 years. Guess the program cant handle a trillion. Would be funny though to see the Cleveland Indians with that much to spend; or maybe not. In fact, Ohio with money is scarey.

AND - Is there a way to go past 30 years. - Even though I already got all the possible upgrades in 7 or 8 years. I would still like to find out.

Yes, you already go past 30 years, I think...

...People said (and I have said 125) that it's 120 years.

Going more than 40 years out without the jetpack mod is stupid though. Make sure you download Kraw's jetpack mod, due out 15 years from now.

:lmao: Too bad they said the same thing about 2000 back in MVP Baseball 1948 (Ewell Blackwell was on the cover).

I believe it is 120 years you can go in dynasty mode. I also didn't know that owner mode is so short.

I did make an effort with Kansas City however. (All sim just to see) I managed to get -43 million in the hole. Pretty funny that the game tells you how far you are in the red by -5m increments, but never tries to stop your downward spiral. If only we could build a game that uses the luxury tax and it would seem so real!
