If you have a problem with that picture of Hoffman, you must really hate looking in the mirror. If you meant it as a joke, then yeah, a little jab, no real malice behind it. But if you're actually serious that that one screen would make you not want to download another example of the great work that KC does, then quite frankly, you're a fool.

You dudes are making me mad. Not because of this but because I was already mad and now this crap.

I go with blinders on? Shush dude. I see what you all see, parks, beach, whatever. I would rather not see it, because I'm a dude.

I WAS NOT OFFENDED. I voiced my dang choice that I'd rather NOT have that in there in agreement with Totte.

Thanks Mark, for insinuating I'm a fool. I'd rather not have that screen, so yeah, I WOULD NOT dl it. Who cares. The front end art isn't gameplay changing any freaking way. I'm just pissed at you all directing this crap at me for agreeing and saying I'd rather pass on that screen.

Screw this. KC, make sure that one screen is in there just for these guys. Heck, put a picture of a dude with some man boobs jogging for all I care. Some of these guys like that and If anyone agrees with me just remember you'll be jumped on too so don't chime in agreeing with me.

Instead of providing another mvpmods drama, if there are any problems, just send me a PM instead of posting here. I'm staying out of this thread about awesome front end art. If you, KC, can top last years, which would be hard to do, then do it by all means.

I can't believe the fools in here talkin' about that Hoffman screen.

It should be left in for two reasons:

1) It's KC's work and he made the choice to include it

2) It shows that baseball isn't a sport for "lazies" like the NFL wants to call it

I like the shot. Funny - I didn't realize that made me gay, or at least questionable, according to Mo and others. Geez - what world are these people living in? Mo, do you have trouble watching commercials on TV?

EDIT: Good call, Mo - this would be a dumb thing to start some kind of new fight/controversey over. lol. Too much drama on this site already.

To KC: I hope you keep the screen in there - it's a good one. I'm REALLY diggin' the owner mode screen w/ the Busch III construction. GET IT? DIGGIN'??? :)

OK to compensate for looking at Hoffman running the field without a jersey, I will quickly post something manly:

If anything, I'll try and explain why I added the hoffman photo.

I had saved this picture for future mods around October. The caption read, "Hoffman jogs around Petco Park in preparation for Game 3 versus the Cardinals." Of course, it is also a reflection of the hard work baseball players go through to play at the level they play. To me it's a reflection of the man-hours we as a modding group put into making MVP 2005 as perfect a simulation of baseball as we can.

Sure, he doesn't have a shirt on jogging out in Petco Park, but what difference does that make? If he had a shirt on, would such controversy still arise? Is it because he's a closer? I don't know. If I still had that picture I'd keep it, but I don't really understand the problem with having a baseball player jogging around the field as the legal info screen.

As a matter of fact, I'm going to gimp this entire 07 theme altogether. No player shots. No players in action shots, no players fielding, none of that. Just strictly venue photos and unicorns and rainbows. Bank on it.

-KC

I personally wasnt offended, and I actually thought it was a good picture. I dont see the big deal. I take showers every day. Nothing ive never seen before. However, Im not going to call anyone a fool for objecting, for only a fool would do that. Although i find it ironic that totte objects and no one says anything to him. Mo objects and gets called a fool. If it offends someone, then change it and move on, but geesh, theres no need to make this big of a deal over a freaking loading screen.

nice work kc, as always. I have already done a few (9) loading screens. Feel free to use or manipulate them. If you dont know where to find them, pm me.

Actually, all Totte asked was what was up with the picture. UncleMo didn't like it, and pretty much everyone else was siding with KC. I think those choice of pic is pretty cool, considering he is getting ready for the game...I don't see anyone really make a huge stink out of it, with the exception of Mo saying he wouldn't download it...other then that...no big deal.

Go Padres! Great work KC.

BTW, I went ahead and installed Mandriva Linux 2007 and it's been great.

I highly recommend anyone thinking about taking the Linux plunge to download a free Linux liveCD. It's a great way to check out the OS without having to install anything.

nice work. good job on the compromise. personally i didn't care about it either way. I wasn't offended or disgusted or whatever, it's something you see everyday in the summer time.

Uh, yeah whatever. Noone sees that everyday unless they're a little kid and they go swimming everyday. And no one was offended. So, instead of PCM (press conf. moose), may we have (COA) Chillin' Out Ariel?

So you guys are saying you've never seen a man jogging through the park in the summer with his shirt off? Seriously you guys are acting like a man with his short off is sexual offensive, when in reality, at the pool, sometimes jogging, and at the beach men have thier shirts off.

Grow up.

Good post NYM.
