Stadium Editing Questions....

ok, I have a question. In AA stadium number 1 there is a little hill behind the left field wall. I want to push the left field wall that I have made back so that the hill is now in play. I've successfully pushed the wall back graphically and in wall.dat but the players still run through the hill. So is the hill controlled by coll.dat and I now have to edit it so that the hill becomes in play, or is this something that's not even possible?

ok, new problem.

I'm trying to mess around with Spring Training stadium #1 (which I assume is a001.big)

I open it up with big gui, extract mstadium.ord, mstasdium.orl.

I run the ord tools, to make the .o file

but when I try to open it up with oedit. I just get an error message saying it's not a recognized .o file? Any suggestions?

I just tried doing it again, and this time it just says that there was an error occured while opening the file. This same exact process worked with another stadium, just not this one...

I tried again, this time with the file off of the CD and same thing happened.

well I've tried everything. Even tried a different version of OEdit, and still got an error message.

Would someone be willing to make the .0 file for me and make sure they can open it wih OEdit and then just email it to me, or post a link here for it. I'd be appreciative.

I need an editable .0 file for a001.big

To do this you have to edit the coll.dat file which controls collision data that does not determine foul balls or homeruns. In theory you can find a section of coordinates that you wont use and change the coordinates to represent the object that you want the ball or fielders to bounce off of. This is extremely tricky, and only objects that have existing coll.dat data have been altered, such as my Fort Lauderdale mod where I made any ball above the CF wall be a home run yet it would bounce off the batter's eye in front of it. I took the ST #3 batter's eye collision coordinates and changed them to their new location. There isn't a rhyme or reason to the grouping of the coordinates and if you change one line you have to change all instances of that line, just like wall.dat.
