20 strikeouts+

Joel Zumaya in a fantasy draft. I converted him back to a starter, and a few seasons in he was really really good. He would go on to win the CYA that season.

It was actually a start after an 11 or 12 K perfect game. They just kept on whiffing on his slider, I think he ended up with 23. The other team was a pretty bad team, I think the Orioles. They had a lot of really undisciplined guys like Soriano too.

Were you playing on rookie? Because thats the only way I've ever been able to K more than 10 in a game. On all-star I tend to get about 6 Ks per game, 8-9 if I'm lucky.

It was either pro or all-star, can't remember which. I think that when I was playing that game I had already started playing mostly on all-star, so I'd go with that. Usually I don't get too many K's, but he just had two really good games back to back. The rest of his season wasn't that spectacular, he just was really good the rest of the way.

I've gotten like 12-14 strikeouts several times, but usually I get around 5-7 Ks per game.

Although I have no offense.

I've only gotten 13Ks with Clemens (AllStar setting) a while back playing the Astros... I've not come close since. I think I'm more of a ground out pitcher :)

How many games in the real MLB do you see with 20+ Ks? (not many)

What's the most you all have topped in a regular ( serious) season? I k'd 323 last season. Everything went perfect though i.e. no injuries or anything, so I think I got a little lucky. I hope I can do it again this season.

It's challenging, which is exactly what I want. I want to lose sometimes. I want to get blown out every once in a while (I lost 22-3 a couple months ago). As for datafiles, everyone plays differently, and everybody likes different datafiles for different reasons. I personally use big shmooz's.

Only problem is, it's TOO challenging for me, when I have difficulty on the AllStar level.

I guess I'll just slowly practice.

That's what I did in NBA Live 07, and I can play on the hardest level easily.

Does anybody play on MVP level all the time?

Yea, it's difficult, I do it though. It's not a crazy challenge, so I'm gonna start tilting sliders in CPU direction. To answer the question, 22 K's with K.Liriano. All-star level, a while back.

Most I ever got was 16 with Nolan Ryan. This was before I put the '06 mod in again, though--I find that "rookie" pitching in '06 is much like pro to all-star pitching in '05.

That is true, but the batters on rookie in 06 are just as undisciplined as in 05, so it cancels out the more difficult pitch meter.

the most I've had is 13, but that was probably with mvp 2004.

In 2005 it's probably 10 or 11. The most in a regular season is 264 with Santana. I kept simming in which he had atleast a K per inning or close to it. The sim engine for strikeouts sucks though.
