If you followed along with my previous Marlins dynasty, I ran into a problem with a crash and couldn't play the games. I have completely re-installed the game and I'm ready to go.

Formalities:

1. I am using kg's roster with the fix for the MVPSaveReader [not his most recent update];

2. The file is a saved dynasty for the year 2007, but does not have the 2007 schedule;

3. I have attempted to update some of the more major transactions in the league;

4. I changed the contracts [of the Marlins] to reflect the players as close as I could [note: the years they are signed for is the amount of years before they become eligible for arbitration]; and

5. I am playing on MVP with my own sliders.

ROSTER / PAYROLL

OpeningDayPayroll.jpg

2007 Prospect Watch

1. Chris Volstad, RHP - The tall righthander gets excellent downhill plane and good sink on his 89-93 mph fastball, generating a 2.3 groundball-to-flyball ratio. His secondary pitches are solid, his control is excellent for a young arm with such height, and his size offers projection for greater velocity. Does not get rattled.

2. Gaby Hernandez, RBP - Advanced for his age, he throws a three-pitch mix of 91-93 mph fastball, curve, and changeup with good command. Above-average control gives him confidence in all of his offerings.

3. Gaby Sanchez, 1B/C - The Marlins' top position prospect, was impressive in Arizona. Sanchez has played third base and catcher in Class A. "At first glance you might not think a lot of bat speed is there, but his approach is so good and he uses the whole field. Don't just dismiss this guy; He could come fast."

4. Taylord Tankersley, LHP - The 21-year-old lefty shows good control to go along with a low-90s fastball and nasty curve. He was dominating last season following a great year at Alabama, and as a college pitcher, should move up the system quickly.

(Note: These names were taken from Baseball America. The other prospects were not in the game.)

SEASON OUTLOOK

Marlins look to build on surprising '06

Young Florida squad out to prove last season was no fluke

February 6, 2007

Arguably the biggest surprise of 2006, Florida sported the youngest and, by far, the lowest payroll in the league. Showing that inexperience is not an excuse for failure, the squad that used 23 rookies before the September callup period remained in Wild Card contention until the final few weeks. (Full Article)

Uggla says Marlins maintain high expectations

February 6, 2007

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (AP) -- Marlins second baseman Dan Uggla isn't worried about the so-called sophomore slump. Uggla hit .282 with 27 home runs last season for Florida and became the player taken in the winter meeting draft to make an All-Star team as a rookie. Uggla, who never played above Double-A ball before last season, isn't worried about seeing his numbers drop off. "Not everybody has to go through it," Uggla said Tuesday. "That's why you work hard in the offseason." (Full Article)

Wow, that blown call wasn't even close! Tough loss, man!

Yeah, not even close. I was so pissed that I almost tossed my laptop off the balcony! LOL. I argued and got tossed really quick on that call [forgot to get the pic though].

What kind of laptop do you have?

HP Pavilion dv8000

2.2 GHz AMD Turion 64 Mobile Technology ML-40 (I think it's 2.2?)

1 GB memory

80 GB HD

ATI MOBILITY RADEON Xpress 200 Series Video Card

17in Widescreen

He must have a good one because it's hard running any brand new games on laptops. Stupid Laptop why did I have too buy one?

Yeah, from my experience and friends who also game on the PC, it is difficult. With my laptop, I only run MVP 2005 and Civilization IV.
