HardcoreLegend
What can be done with the location of the R-H-E numbers, inning numbers, etc in a way to represent the classic version of NBCs broadcast? I know very little about what goes into the overlays and what limitations they have. Here are some samples of what they looked like in the late 60's:
MarlinsMS_35
That would be perfect for TC
Hory
Hmm, that's possible I guess, would you want the portrait eliminated entirely?
compmaniac
Wouldn't this cover up game play if it were made?
MarlinsMS_35
Wouldn't this cover up game play if it were made? Well, No, the full screen part was only shown during off-play moments. (I watch ESPN Classic alot  )
HardcoreLegend
Hmm, that's possible I guess, would you want the portrait eliminated entirely? Yeah, I would think so. I know it takes away from the game graphically, but it does help increase the amount of accuracy. As for 'in game' overlay, someone would have to be creative. They could use the classic NB with the C below it logo. I'll try to get my '75 series DVDs out tonight and see how much it had changed. I believe the only change was to 'yellow' lettering. (I watch ESPN Classic alot  ) Well, maybe that could be the game's pause screen...except where would the other menu options in the pause menu go? HardcoreLegend
Didn't mean to hijack your thread Hardcore. It's fine. Any classic overlays are good. The current ones are great, don't get me wrong.

I really only liked the overlays up to about '93. After CBS lost baseball, I haven't cared much for the presentation.

I know very little about what goes into the overlays and what limitations they have. The text can be placed anywhere really, the graphics part of overlays is where the limitations come in to play.
