Thanks for all the comments everyone. Came back from my trip last nigh. Never had a moment's rest - was always on the run. Anyway, I should continue with this dynasty very soon. Thanks to those who are still sticking around.

I am planning on playing the last month but only presenting the box scores for those games so that I can present a more detailed presentation for the playoffs and showcase them sooner.

Thanks man. I was just checking out your dynasty and seems like you have made one hell of a run to be just one game back. Hopefully you can get back to first place again.

It was an awesome trip and thanks for asking. But I am just way too tired not to mention I never had really gotten over my jet-lag while in India. But slept for about 13 hours after I came back yesterday night.

Yeah, I had a pretty good run, but got upended by Colorado and St. Louis, as you'll see in tonight's update.

Good to have you back and ready to see your dynasty back on track. :)

* The following presentation is the first of two September updates that I plan on presenting. The plan is for me to focus on some detailed presentations during the playoffs (hopefully) and spending time in presenting an update for each game just seemed tiresome and could begin to look boring for those who have been following this dynasty for some time. I would definitely like some feedback on this template so that I can improve upon for the next update (which will be right after the last game of the season). Sorry for the delay in posting the results but rest assured that I have come too far for me not continue with this dynasty. Will surely continue this dynasty until the end. *

* The Boston Red Sox went 12-10 over the span of the last 20 games and have held on to their divisional lead. The Devil Rays unfortunately went on a 10 game skid and have been forced out of the AL East race. It was just too good to be true for the Devil Rays to still be in the hunt but without any major additions at the trade deadline, the Rays really look weak - especially their pitching. But the Yankees, Blue Jays, and the Orioles are still in the race for the playoffs and the AL East is still up for grabs. The last 17 games for the Red Sox are going to be crucial for the Sox as they play the Devil Rays, Orioles, Blue Jays (home series), and the Yankees (home series) in their final 4 series of the 2005 regular season. *

lol Jaret Wright for CY Young hah i love MVP Baseball
Well he does have a 15-4 record with the best ERA in the major leagues. Wakefield has actually been in a big slump that saw his ERA rise from 1.95 to 2.67 in a span of 3 or 4 starts. Hopefully he can bounce back for a strong finish.

Is this dynasty dead? I hope not, because this was my favorite dynasty ever.

No its not and thank you very much for still being interested. I had originally thought of playing through the month of September and just providing 2 updates (one around the middle of the month and the other at the end of the season). But I had changed my mind on that and I am playing the second half of the month of september and I will be presenting updates on every game. By all means this dynasty is not yet over. Hopefully I can give JR26 some competition and we can have a friendly race to see who makes it to the playoffs first.

WooT! I just finished the last game of the series against Cincinnati and pulled out the win. Houston is 2-8 in their last 10, so this gives me the most cushion I've had since June. 1 1/2 game lead! lol

Finally, the Astros had a significant slump, and they're still in it. ;)

Anyway, looking forward to your updates, V. Good luck! :)

I will have an update by tonight or latest by tomorrow. I will provide a quick rundown of everything that has happened up until now and then I will provide the game update. I think I am going to go back and forth with my current and past templates and showcase my new templates when I hopefully reach the playoffs. Take care until then.

I know that its been a while since I had updated this dynasty, and some of you might have forgotten as to what has happened so far. So for those and for any newcomers, here's a summary of all the events that have transpired so far in this dynasty.

Basically I had wanted to create a 05 Red Sox dynasty as I wasn't too keen on starting a 07 dynasty at the moment. Besides there was a huge surplus of 07 dynasties and I wanted for this to be a little unique in that regard. I had originally planned on sticking with the real 2005 rosters and make the real life deals that had happened as I move along in my dynasty. But someone had suggested that it would be better if I were to try and bring back the key players from the 2004 season. So, I set about doing that and I created detailed storylines as I went along.

Here are the transactions that had taken place:

05-15-2005 - Traded Wade Miller & John Halama to ATL for Marcus Giles, Kyle Davies, & Luis Hernandez

05-31-2005 - Traded Ramon Vasquez & Shawn Wooten to SD for Dave Roberts & Luis Cruz

05-31-2005 - Traded Mark Belhorn to NYM for Doug Mientkiewicz

06-15-2005 - Traded Matt Mantei & Jeremi Gonzalez to NYM for Mark Belhorn & Duaner Sanchez

06-20-2005 - Traded Matt Clement, Abe Alvarez, & Charlie Zink to NYM for Pedro Martinez

07-07-2005 - Traded David Wells to LAD for Derek Lowe

07-28-2005 - Traded Edgar Rentaria, Kyle Davies, and Marc Deschenes to CHC for Nomar Garciaparra and Matt Murton

I have to say that of all the deals that I had made the Giles deal has by far produced the best results.

I am planning on providing a stats sheet that shows how the newly acquired players have performed so far. Also, I was fortunate to have a great divisional race and up until the end of August I had a 5 team AL East race where the first and last placed teams were separated by 3.5 games. Unfortunately the Devil Rays were not able to keep up with the rest of the division and seem to have fallen out of the race. The end of the season is near and it looks like its going to end up as a three team race between the Yankees, Red Sox, and the Orioles. Hope you guys have enjoyed it so far and hoping that you guys will stick around for just a little bit longer to see if the ultimate goal can be achieved. Take care.

Man was I missing those awsome pics before! Great Job redsox lookin' good get the next game

I have to say - its a must win for me at the moment. I have already lost 7 games in a row and have lost the division lead to the Yankees. I got Schilling going in the 4th game against Steve Sparks, who I just can't seem to hit because of that knuckleball.

BTW, I hope you stick around the playoffs time to see my new post-season templates! The one thing I can say about them is that, if I make it to the playoffs, the coverage will be humongous. There will be pre-game analysis, post-game analysis etc... Just don't want to ruin the surprise. Take care.

Alright sounds cool. Almost seems like what's happening in real life for the sox is happening to you in your Dynasty.

Definitely - the only difference is that all 5 teams in my dynasty where fighting for the division as late as the end of August compared to real life.

Except in real life the Yankees haven't gotten the division lead........yet

The key word is "yet". I heard somewhere that Francona is confident about Gagne and that he thinks that Gagne is the best man for the setup role when the game is on the line. Looks like we have all but waived the white flag on this season.
