AnthonyBurke
Question - Now that I DL'ed the MVP 07' and installed it, I want to make my character for the game again. I have MVP Edit. My question is this, on install I chose the KGrosters I believe it was... So how do I get my new cherry made up and into the game? Do I DL the KG Roster and make him in MVP Edit, then import him with MVP Edit as well?
AnthonyBurke
i.e. How do I add my character (picture and stats) into the game with MVP Edit and keep the rosters that came with the 07' download.
Totte
Download MVPedit (google it) Then you can read the The Nasty FAQ-list in the forums here on the site to get a better understanding on how to do it. Good luck mate!
AnthonyBurke
I think you misunderstood. My Bad! Allow me to simplify the question, I don't need to know how to add my picture or my guy into the game with MVP Edit, (I ALREADY KNOW HOW TO DO THAT) what I need, "is to know how to add my guy into the game keeping the rosters the same as the ones that came with MVP 07'??? THANX!
redsox
I think you misunderstood. My Bad! THANX! You would still use MVPEdit to do that. Just import the .dat files that came with the 07 mod through edit and add you guy in. If this is not what you are looking for, sorry about that. EDIT: I guess I misunderstood the question too. You want your current character to be in the 07 mod right? Well, you would run MVPEdit and import your old .dat files (the ones that contain your chracter) and hit export player. Then run MVPEdit and import the .dat files that came with the 07 mod. The go to import and import your character that you saved. Remember that if you add him directly to the MLB roster, you would either have to delete a player or move another player down to either AAA, AA or A. AnthonyBurke
mvp edit only imports .mbe (that I know of), how do I import the .dat file?
redsox
When you open up MVPEdit, hit file -> import -> DAT files.
AnthonyBurke
I did that, and I looked in every folder associated with the new 07' dl, and there is nothing to be imported, like on the old game files...
redsox
Answer me this question so that I will know for sure what it is that you are trying to do. You already have a character created before you installed the 07 mod and would like to have him in the 07 mod without changing the current rosters. Am I correct? redsox
Ok. Did you backup any of your rosters before you installed the 07 mod? If you did, grab hold of those .DAT files and export the player that you created using MVPEdit. Then import the new .DAT files (the ones that came with the 07 mod) and then import the player that you had export in the previous step (once again using MVPEdit). The .DAT files are located in C:Program FilesEA SPORTSMVP Baseball 2005datadatabase. If you have it installed in a different drive, then look there. Now, if you did NOT backup your roster before you installed the 07 mod, here is what you can do. If you can remember the attributes that you gave to you player, you can use that info. to create him again in the 07 roster. You would have to import the .DAT files from your database folder and then create a player and edit him. After you are done editing in MVPEdit, go to Tools and hit Check Errors to make sure you don't have any thing screwed up. When you are ready to go, you can export the .DAT files back into the database folder. REMEMBER to always backup the files that you are modifying. Hope this helps. Take care. AnthonyBurke
Well, I did finally figure out how to load the new rosters up from MVP 07' and remade my player (character). The stats, and all the players attributes are correct however, my picture will not load into the game. I am using the same pic I was using before on my character/player and it's all the sizes 128x128pixels. My picture actually loads in mvp edit and looks like it's going to work right but, after every attempt, once I turn on the game my character/player still has that generic black and white outline photo. Anyone else having this problem, had this problem, or have any suggestions?
