janitor06
Okay, this isn't really a dynasty, but I will run it like one. I am going to run a playoff tournament, play all the games and provide updates, pictures, etc. Here is how it will run: There will be four teams from each league represented. Which division they are from does not matter. They will play (for the sake of time) in best of three series. I am using the new MVP 07 mod, and will seed the teams based on their rank in the game. The higher seeded team will be the home team for the 1st and 3rd games. I will play each game as the home team, unless otherwise noted. How the teams will be selected: anyone who wishes to follow this, submit a response, voting for ONE team. The first four teams from each league that are voted for will be the ones that I play with. They will be seeded as noted above. I will only accept one team per person. If it takes too long to get eight teams, I will fill in the holes. I will begin accepting votes immediately, and once I fill the bracket, I will post it, and then begin playing.

sfgiantsflgators
giants EDIT: atta boy rog - good choice quick question - why not just do all 30 teams? it wouldn't mean playing all that many more games and it would give all the teams a fair shake maybe single elimination for most of the tourney, then switch to the three game series when it's narrowed down to the final four
medric822
That could happen...first, we'll see what other two AL teams are named Yeah, but that would be impossible for the first round matchup. The Wildcard must play the team with the highest wining%, unless they are in the same division. If thats the case, they play the team with the second most wins. janitor06
Okay, slight change of plans. I have enough teams to do this, plus one. Instead of tossing out the Giants, I am going to add another NL team and two more AL teams, and structure this like the NFL playoff system. For the National League, I am adding the Cincinnati Reds, and for the American League, I am adding the Boston Red Sox and the Los Angeles Angels. The teams are seeded based on their ranking in the MVP 07 mod. The Red Sox and Yankees are ranked #1 and 2, respectively, so they get 1st round byes in the AL. In the NL, the two highest ranked teams are the Cubs ( and Phillies (14), and they will be 1st and 2nd seeds with 1st round byes. The Giants, Reds, Pirates and Rockies are ranked 20, 25, 26 and 27. The Giants will face the Rockies, and the Reds will face the Pirates. In the AL, the Angels, Indians, Blue Jays and Royals are 5, 9, 10 and 28. The Angels will face the Royals and the Indians will face the Blue Jays. The first two rounds will both be a one-and-out.

janitor06
atta boy giants. shutout by zito. Zito didn't throw a shutout, but he did go six strong innings. Despite a rocky first inning (loaded the bases), he was lights out after that. Two relievers preserved the shutout.
