apridham
When it comes up and asks you if you would like to open the file or save it, when you click save check and see exactly where it is going to download it.
SESbb30
i always choose desktop. nothing has been downloading since we got anti-virus stuff. do you think that might be the problem?
apridham
It may be. But, I can't really see that being the problem. That said, try turning the anti-virus and firewall off. The firewall may be blocking the download.

compmaniac
I just download with the default built-in one in firefox. I don't have any problems with downloading... ...Sorry, I guess I don't know what your problem is then. And by "open with option", he means, do you click "Save as" or "Open" when given the option after clicking a download link.

IronicMan
Try clearing your cache/temporary files and try again. (Either through your browser, IE/FF/Opera, or use a cleaner like CCleaner)
