Game just keeps crashing

I downloaded the UR 8.1 Standard rosters, and made quite a bit of adjustments (adding players from the all-times roster).

On my Desktop with the new MVP2007 the game will not even boot, it crashes immediately.

On my laptop with the original version of MVP2005 with patch updates 1,2, and 3 the game will let me start a new dynasty and then it will crash at the beginning of the first game.

I have edited my rosters with the new version of MVPedit from Glass... I think its 2006.2 or something like that. I ran an error check and found no errors in my roster.

My question is, what would make it crash... its obviously the rosters because if I load in my older roster set and start a new dynasty, it works fine. If I load the UR 8.1 standard directly into the game without adjustments... it works on both systems. What is it thats making the program gack (not sure how to spell gack, but thats how I feel).

This is so annoying... I built a great roster set with old-timers mixed with players of today... even made a team of all players from various baseball movies i.e. "Major League" I also have two teams that are made up of only 80's stars and finally one team that is all Asian players. Its a cool roster set, just don't think I'll get to use it.

Any kind of help would be great... thanks

did you try Big Shmooz Umachines uniforms Models.big?

If the 8.1 rosters work fine before you edit the rosters, then thats the problem. If you can get into the game, you can have the computer optimize the rosters. If you are getting the problem when you are in dyst mode, or owner mode..download the team changer program..change to the team you are supposed to be playing..then have the computer otimize the team/roster..then use the change team program to switch back to your normal team..

You are unable to run mvp2007 at all? did you do a clean install for it? if you have both disks, you do a clean install of it. Put it into a new directory so you dont delete your 05 version.

The IDs of players is a pretty universal thing in every roster, so that shouldn't be the problem. Plus, if an ID is incorrect, that wouldn't make anything crash.

If you're using the standard version of a roster, you MUST have the models.big from the original game CDs.
