JCL71
I noticed with the mod of MVP 07 that the green and light brown zones for pitchers in the wind up has been greatly reduced. I really like that because before, with the aces, it seemed too easy to get strikes and put the ball where you want it. Now it's just timing and hope for the best. Is it just me or is the game, with the player ratings changed and what not, seems like every batter is juiced? I just finished a season opening 3 game series against Detroit and Frank Thomas already smacked away 6 homers. Almost every one on the Jays have gotten at least 1 home run. I dunno whether the ratings were tweaked that much or the Tigers home field is very home run friendly. I was down 7-3 and came back to win 16-12 and basically peeled off 5 or 6 homers in one inning. I hope this mod doesn't take away the defense or pitching aspects of this game. But then it's just one game and it could be the variable "stuff" in the options I have. Oh yes, did anyone else sign Roger Clemens to their pitching staff when starting a new dynasty with the current rosters? The skill level of the Jays pitching staff went from ranked 7th to 1st with the Rocket alone.

RaptorQuiz
When I saw the title of this thread, I thought to myself "Are you fu-king kidding me? ANOTHER thread complaining about the level of difficulty with the MVP07 mod's pitching?" But at long last, someone APPRECIATING the change, and VOICING that appreciation. Very nice, JCL71. kgbaseball
I've found that everything will even itself over time. I've simmed many seasons, and nobody hits over 55~ homeruns in a season unless a human is controlling the players. A lot of has to do with the datafile and your sliders, like fred said. kaplerisking
I haven't noticed any "juiced" batters. Only 2 home runs have been hit off of me when I was actually playing the game myself rather than simming/managing, and I've only hit 4...all of which have come at hitter-friendly Fenway Park. JCL71
I do adjust the sliders if I win by a lopsided manner. But I guess I had forgotten that because I was captivated by the graphics and stuff of the mod of MVP 07. I think putting the minor leaguers and pics in there compels me to want to play the minor leagues on that basis alone instead of computer created players? This is what I tweak on the sliders. CPU Pitch Control CPU Batting Contact CPU Batting Power CPU Bunting Ability CPU Swing Frequency CPU Outfielder Speed " Infielder " " Throw Speed " " Accuracy CPU Catch Effort I think the pitching is far and away much better. On the Xbox version, it was like strike outs of 4 or more was easy. I was RARELY throwing a ball or a walk. Now for me to throw a strike is tougher and the pitch count is more like the real thing. So I like that aspect with the pitching and fatigue rate. On teh Xbox, I would sometimes go into the 4th inning and my pitcher hadn't even broken a sweat and would have enough gas for 14 innings or so. Again, hats off to the mods that worked hard on MVP 07 and basically building a MVP 07 (if EA made one) for THE best baseball game ever made to date. It gave new blood into the game for me. Go Blue Jays & Astros. Hey, I like cheering for one team in the AL and one in the AL.
DJEagles
I do like the pitching in the '07 Mod...although B.J. Rynah has given up 5 homeruns in 3 innings of work for me. Blown 2 saves, and lost a game....

Try this. http://mvpmods.com/Downloads/details/id=1758.html It changes the camera angle and for some reason pich meter is little bigger.
